GetRidOfMyDebt .... I hope it all gets sorted for you and good luck with it, let us know.
Just one other point to other people, after reading through this thread .... is it any wonder why some members just lurk and do not post, some people are SO rude and ignorant!!!!! We're not all experts, some are new members, so why don't you give people a chance.
Thank you.0 -
Well, looking through their terms, on top of Amazons, the answer is that you do not have a leg to stand on. Both are watertight frankly.

Loss of a bargain really will not apply to this IMO as obviously you would know it was a misprice and not a genuine deal.0 -
There is zero chance that you would win any attempt to fight this. An email saying despatched is one thing, but it actually needs to leave the building before it can be considered fully despatched, and unless that has happened it is very unlikely that you will see this honoured, nor should it be. You were fully aware that the price was wrong, so no point getting all militant just because your grabbiness was caught out.We have removed your signature - please contact the forum team if you are not sure why - Forum Team0

Might be nice to actually thank the people that have answered your query as well....0

So you didn't post it on here when you found it. Now you want advice, and the offer is no longer available, you post it on the 'grabbit' board?! :eek:0

I hope you get it posted OP! I think some people are being very rude to her x"Knowledge is knowing that a tomato is a fruit, but Wisdom is knowing not to put it in a fruit salad."0

Loss of a bargain is rubbish. In a situation like this courts will apply common sense. There are several test cases out there if you wish to google, I don't it's a quickish reply.
The courts will see this as an obviuos mistake and missprice and there is no way you could have expected this not to be a mistake. Therefore you tried and failed to take advantage as they realised the error before sending the goods. Common sense says this was a mistake and there has been no consequential loss to you. You tried to take advantage of a mistake and didn't it's that simple.
"Loss of a bargain" is unfortunately something in mythical land which shopping forums like this on the net, have given people false hope, and turned them into internet lawyers with a sense of entitlment.
No way on earth would you win in this case gte'd, they made a mistake, you knew it was a mistake, they realised and will be refunding. If you received the goods, that is a whole different matter and you'd be fine, they could not do a thing.0 -
