Sat 18th/Sunday 19th 'How many inches have you got?' Daily Chat

Morning all,

Have dropped teh OH off at the airport, the drive home was a nightmare 2nd gear for 15 miles and a fair bit of slipping and sliding.

We've got 3 inches of snow and it's still going strong. My parking space was covered in the three hours it took me to get to the airport and back.

SRM, thank you for the weather update. Sorry i didn't reply yesterday, I promise I wasn't being rude I was having my Christmas Day and yes I got spoilt rotten; I had a gift for passing my exam a Waterstones voucher and lots of other lovely goodies.

Everyone, please stay safe and warm. And if you have an elderly neighbour, maybe check in on them to make sure they're ok?

Lots of love,

LMC x

  • Morning LMC-glad you made it in one piece! Someone said you were having Xmas day so no worries..how do you feel about OH going away again??

Just started snowing here...and I have to go to Plumbers merchants as toilet flush has packed in...as we are having NYE party for the village I really need a serviceable loo!!
    Debt-free...and staying that way...
  • SRM, I'm sad and am going to miss him, which you and others might find bizzare after how things were in the summer. What an exciting purchase!

Right time to get on with the household chores it looks like a tip.

  • Morning all, early rise for me for a saturday, oh off to work til 12 and im off to work for 1, so wont see him til about half 5, which i hate at the weekends :( massively dislike working weekends but i dont have any other option at the moment because we need every penny.
snow is falling steadily here so i shall be walking to work again, must remember to take my hat today though.
LMC-glad to hear your oh got away safely and that you got home in 1 piece, stay indoors now where its safe and warm.
Hope everyone else is safe and well

  • Lizzie, I promise not to venture out in this weather, I've got a list of chores as long as my arm to do. URGH and clothes to put away. But before I do anything I need to have a nap, waking up early is very unnatural for me!
  • Haha, very good,
I'm just wondering whether work would believe me if I said I was snowed in...it is a whole 15 minute walk away after all!!! :P
Just dont want to go anywhere in this cold, and I have far too much to do!!
Better move my arris really or I'll be running to work.

Morning all we still have lots of snow and expecting another big fall this afternoon. I'm dreading Monday already, will school be open, how will I get kids to school and me to work. Drving in the snow really does make me panic.

Well today is Saturday I have lots to do and I really need to sort Christmas pressies but can't really do it with the kids around, but will maybe get something started.

    Have a good day everyone.

Afternoon, we've just got a covering of snow.

My sister's driving up from London today, so hopefully she'll be ok, the M1 should be clear. Then we're going to see the last ever gig by a band we know.
Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.
