  • I would like to have a go with the mooncups! For now stick to ASDA teen towels or Lilet towels. I only use 1/2 a packet a month so really dont find it too pricey thesedays - maybe 50p a month

When I was young Bodyform made female shaped pads, now they are all like thin sheets of paper, its great that they are thin, but the scrunch up between your legs like a sheet of paper.

    What brand do you use?

Ah I miss those Bodyform pads - they were great & never leaked. I hate the thin ones as they sometimes bunch up & somehow end up in a pickle with the wings type - they don't stick to the underside of my pants, or they stick to themselves & I end up getting chaffed - I'm sure it shouldn't be this hard :rotfl:

I use Bodyform - no fannying about with wings & some padding! I also use washables made from snazzy soft cotton for lighter days - these are fabulous & last for ages. Got mine at a festival (before children) & still going strong.

Always struggled with tampons - could always "feel" them & somehow they'd leak yet when I removed them there would be hardly any blood absorbed & lots of "white" left (sorry if too graphic). I'd like to try the mooncup but worry the same thing will happen. Has anyone use it successfully that didn't get on with tampons?
& as for some happy ending I'd rather stay single & thin :D

  • A bit of a weird one to ask but im expecting so could do please with stocking up. Does anyone know of any shops that have nay offers on please on pads?

Always Ultra with wings - usually the purple kind, occasionally the blue night-time ones. On my heaviest days I wear tampons as well, but don't wear them overnight.

I've used always ultra with wings for years, but tried the bodyform equivalent this year since they had the free Jemma Kidd lip gloss with them, and they're ok but not as soft as the always

Recently I've used tesco value & tesco's own brand ones (I buy a few different types of pads to suit my needs of the day!) they're dead cheap & I've had no problems at all! Shall buy them again when I need them...I'd also recommend the Moxie night pads (I love the box they come in!) ..they look huge! but they really do the job for me personally..........oh aren't periods lovely?! o.0
  • 62 so just memories now;)sure you could flush them.... but just over 3yrs ago I had been on life support... from breathing, pace maker to even two:eek: waste disposal tubes..on returning home hubby was directed to buy some pads for maybe weak bladder after effects, he done well actually and got tesco free spirit pads but me however never realised you couldn't flush them but they had to go in the household waste till it was too late. When he inspected under the outside 'cover' the size was unblieveablely huge...real mess.

year on when Hubby had a very bad nose bleed they came into there own.:) Dianne

Oldandhappy did you ever get told that you could use them stuck to the inside of your top to stop your pacemaker scar from getting battered when it was still sore? That was probably the weirdest use of them I've ever come across (though it did work).

ALJA Moxie nights are huge but I kick about in my sleep so the length comes in handy, saves good pants being ruined lol.
