What pads do you use?

I rarely wear tampons because of TSS (toxic shock syndrome).

When I was young Bodyform made female shaped pads, now they are all like thin sheets of paper, its great that they are thin, but the scrunch up between your legs like a sheet of paper.

What brand do you use?

None now, it's mooncup all the way :D
TBH I found all pads ended up bunching in one way or another.

    Mooncup:eek:

    I imagine that would hurt:eek:

Makes me clam up thinking about it:eek:

The first brand of bodyform (in the 1980s) didn't bunch up, they were woman shaped.

Actually it doesn't hurt. You wet it, fold it and pop it in. Not much different to inserting a tampon really.

I used Bodyform in the 80's but TBH the leakage was more of a problem for me :o Thank goodness for the invention of wings :rotfl:

I use Always. I have heavy periods and they are the only ones that never leak. They are also always on offer somewhere.

Mooncup. Doesnt hurt at all, totally unfeelable (not a word?!) when it's inserted properly.
For some reason I've had less period pain in the 4 years since I started using it. It's not for anyone who is a bit squeamish (having said that, I thought I was until I started using it), it's more environmentally friendly than towels/tampons and it's saved me money. It cost me £17 in 2006 and is still going strong.

I use Moxie pads, can't stand the plasticy feeling of the other brands.

    QUOTE]

Without being too personal, is it that you have a particular specific reason to be worried about TSS? It is very rare. I have used tampons all my life day and night, from about age 16 and I am conscientious about changing them and using the appropriate absorbancy. TSS is something I am well aware of but don't worry about. I would find wearing pads a real nuisance by comparison.

  • I use Bodyform Maxi Ultra. I prefer the pads that actually have "padding" as such and not the thin ones :).
