car accident & drink driving

When I throw the ball through the window (as kid) breaking the glass I was GUILT of that act, now the OP posted they Run into the Back of Someone and they also got into a car and drove it after drinking....These are FACTS as stated by the OP.
Now whether there will be a police conviction due to either or both of these acts, is again another issue, but the OP is GUILTY of their actions just as I when I broke the window.
Drinking and driving is not a crime.
Do keep up.0 -
Lucylucky you really are being a bit dim here !
The OP has admitted that she failed a breath test !
Do you think that she is not guilty ? Shes hardly guna fail the test and then be innocent now is she !
Seriously , your posts are just blo ody getting ridiculous. The loopy one has gone :j0 -

Are you really saying if that as a result of the blood test the OP is found to be under the limit you think they will still be prosecuted?
You can fail a breathalyser and yet be below a blood test, which then negates that breathalyser test. So yes you can fail the breath test and still be "innocent"
(I know I have posted that before but you seem to have trouble understanding)0 -
I have no sympathy for drink drivers either but some people who say they are the scum of the earth think nothing of driving at 35mph in a 30mph zone themselves and quite often will say the police have nothing better to do, they should be out catching criminals.
I have witnessed a child being hit by a car at 35mph0 -

No where did the OP mention they had been drinking.
They simply stated they failed the breathalyser.
You, I and everyone else in this thread presumed they had been drinking.
However we don't know whether:
1. They had been on a bender the day before
2. Had been eating chocolates with alcohol in them
3. They had been drinking immediately then jumped into their car
4. any other scenario you can think of with any combination of the above. Now whether there will be a police conviction due to either or both of these acts, is again another issue, but the OP is GUILTY of their actions just as I when I broke the window.
Luckily in the UK we don't have Kangaroo courts.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Children get hit by car drivers not driving to the conditions even though they are within the speed limit.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Do keep up.
Sadly this is the case.
I'm in a wheelchair and 4 of my friends are due direct to drink drivers, 2 of who weren't convicted of Drink Driving.
I also went to a school where a girl was left brain damaged and in an electric wheelchair due to a drink driver, but she was lucky (well maybe not) her younger sister and father were both killed in the same accident and her mother had to curl out of the crush car to get help.
As for the Drink (Drunk) Driver, well he had a broken Jew, crushed lungs, internal bleeding; so the police could breath test him or ever take blood, they said they could smell the drink on him and found out he'd been in the pub all afternoon drinking, but they couldn't prove the limits, so he got let off, with a fine and a 6 month ban.....for kill 2 people and leaving one with a mental age of 8 and needing 24/7 care.
So maybe I should take you to meet the mother (her daughter die last Xmas, due to her disability) and you can explain why Drink Driving is fine.....
The legal limit should be Zero, if you want to drink, fine drink; if you're going to drive then don't drink....SIMPLE
Driving should be seen as a Privilege not a Right.0 -
Children get hit by car drivers not driving to the conditions even though they are within the speed limit.
Children also get hit when drivers are doing nothing at all wrong, are driving appropriately and take every possible action to prevent an accident. But it's not something they can change. Sometimes it is the child's "fault".
If we take the same approach as some think we should for "drink" driving; i.e no drink at all, which also means that you cannot drive for about 24 hours after 8 pints; then perhaps we should ban children from the streets to prevent accidents?0 -

That's right.
My point was that some people will say drink drivers are the scum of the earth yet break the law themselves by speeding and putting lives at risk yet can't see the irony of it and yes, you could add the above to that as well as they could be driving within the speed limit but without due care and attention or driving dangerously0
