Just checked my statement & I have been charged for loads of stuff that hasn't turned up yet. How do they calculate the interest if I dont pay in full this month? I'm hoping its not daily as I haven't even got the stuff yet!
Also does anyone know how you go on when you refuse delivery on an item? I didn't accept a large canvas picture as I'd seen it in store & changed my mind. I got a receipt, but the courier seemed a bit unsure of what to do. I've not had the usual email telling me its been returned.0 -
having spoken to customer services, they say you will only have interest charged, if you havent received and returned the items for a credit by your payment date, so for most of us, that seems like we need to receive and return all items by 19th January at the latest (best to do returns instore, as they process quicker, and you dont tend to get so many 'lost' items, as when returning by courier - also theres no charge instore)
they say the problem is due to the extra long christmas break, deliveries are behind schedule, so any item that is on your statement, has been picked in the warehouse and should be on its way to you - its just a case of if and when your courier catches up
however, my gripe isnt the timescale between it leaving the warehouse and the courier delivering it, its the fact Next have changed the statement date without any pre-warning, but every time you speak to CS they just skirt around this issue

Hi - I've had the same problem with my statement. Had a VIP on the Wednesday eve and noticed on Thursday morning that they had already generated a statement with lots of items on from the order I had just made. I am sure that in the past, if I ordered stuff around my statement date it missed going on until after the 10 day returns option. The only way around it is to make any returns to the store if possible as it reduces the balance online within 24 hours. Me thinks they have been very sneaky this year
Speaking of being sneaky, I ordered some boots and when I opened the box, they didn't look like the ones I had chosen. Checked the number on box with delivery note and were the ones I ordered but definitley wrong in box. When I took the boots out to look at them, they had been worn! Checked the number inside and were from 05/07 range. So some cheeky b***er has done a swap.0 -
does anyone know when next shops will accept returns, have a couple of my order items to go back but because of backlog in royal mail would rather return in store if possible, was planning on taking them tomorrow but know in the past you couldnt return instore until a certain date, also do you know what times stores close tomorrow- couldnt see any mention on website

They are already accepting Directory returns instore again - I took something back yesterday.0

I like others have been charged for items on my statement that have not arrived or even been sent, just phoned and she said it was ordered before the statement came out and the request has gone to our warehouse for the item to be packed (within next 7 days), i said so is that defo i will receive the item then she then said oh no not defo i said but you are charging me and it is on my latest statement she said if we dont dispatch the item you will be refunded, since when have next charged your statement for items that they cannot defo deliver.
Never happened to me before all my other items awaiting stock clearance are still on reserved items, it seems to me as if Next have c0cked up this year as it seems to be happening to lots of people. How can they do this ? Puts me off buying anything else to be honest.

well after all the probs we are having with regards to the statements, i now find that im having disputes on returns
i have returned all items instore, so have a printed till receipt showing everything i have returned. but strangely, not all items are showing on my account activity
Next are saying that even though items are returned to store, a credit wont show until it is received at the warehouse. strange then, how some items seem to have reached the warehouse within 1hr of my returns being received instore, but other items returned at the same time, still havent reached the warehouse, 2 days later, and all i keep being told is, it will show up eventually
i honestly think they are trying delaying tactics, so you will go over your due date, and get charged interest
but on the plus side, i have received everything i ordered in the sale, unfortunately, ive had to send quite alot of it back, as the items didnt match the description (pink trousers instead of white), or the sizing was way off (label says correct size, garment is about 5 dress sizes bigger)

This has happened to me too. I have emailed them but still awaiting a response (live abroad so costs a fortune to ring). I have also returned things before my statement date but because of the weather they havent arrived back yet so are still on my statement. Not sure how that will work with regards interest but I will see what happens.
I hope my other things arrive as I ordered sets of curtains and only one pair has arrived, waiting for 2 more.
Edit: just checked my emails Next will "look into why they were returned". I doubt they will send me a reply though. Oh and they have ignored my query about the returns. Oh well I shall waia and see and contact them again if necessary0 -
can anyone get the contact details up on the Next website?
i hate speaking on the phone, so would rather email them my problems, but whenever i click the 'contact us' link it just brings up a blank page
or anyone know how to get in touch with the accounts dept?
