Next VIP slots 2010

Checked my emails this morning - nothing there from Next

Came on here and realised people had booked slots so logged onto my next account and wahey - could book a time slot.

Booked for Wednesday 6pm - not sure if this is the earliest slot but pleased anyhow.

Never got VIP last summer time or mid season but since then ordered the directory and ordered something last week to ensure I got invite - looks like it worked.

I shop with them all the time, and I think their pre-reg if you access the site is a start in the right direction, to try and catch the regular shoppers.

It's not perfect and they can't invite everyone but it's a start.

I agree, they cant invite everyone and im sure alot of people spend 1000's each too. Its the luck of the draw its just a shame every time Next have the sale it turns into a total Next bashing.

I logged onto my account and for the first time ever have an invite!

I spend hundreds on the Next Directory, especially on homeware when I bought my flat this year, so I'm very pleased to finally get one.

I'm confused, my email says:

"Please remember that if you do not add an item to your shopping bag within 20 minutes, your time slot will end automatically."

Then further down:

"We are offering customers the chance to shop for longer, you can now log in anytime after your slot start time, up until midnight."

I phoned up Next yesterday and was told that I was down for a VIP slot but she didn't know what day I'd receive the invite. I just logged on and managed to get the first slot too, Wed 1800-2300, so I'm really pleased, but sorry for people who weren't offered one.

I have only ordered one thing this year from the Directory and that was just last week and I haven't received it yet as it's on delayed delivery, so I wasn't expecting to get an invite.
