well i am glad to see such positive saving out there i have re edited my post above with the true costs we are all really facing for me atm will be in the region of about £2000-£2500 on 2 items petrol and gas/electric. forgetting other costs like council tax, food costs, no pay rises at all so that becomes a pay cut in effect also longer hours and i could go on so prob in real term looking alot more than that while i appreciate postal costs to some of you who would use say huge amount of stamps it could effect such as ebay sellers but in the grand picture it really doesnt effect most of us sorry if my post upsets you a bit but i reckoning time you take it all into account the real cost to me personally will be at least in the region of £4000 maybe more while i tend to think is a little bit more unimportant than a 5P increase on a stamp at the end of the day we will all have to pay more and that is an end of it truly.

It won't be a huge saving for me, I'll probably buy two or three books of 100 stamps (in March) and save £10 or £15. I'd rather save £10 than not, especially with everything else going up as you say.
This week I've also bought 5 packs of 16 toilets rolls from Morrisons which were on offer, and think I saved about £10 altogether on those compared with the Tesco ones I normally buy, and I'm really pleased with that saving too even though they are filling my garage up
.
The little savings all add up and help a bit, which is what its all about for me
Edit: There aren't any magic wands for getting rid of the big expenses, so all we can do is try and save as much as we can where we can!0 -

Thanks but a 2nd class packet doesn't fall under any of those. Not franked, Special Delivery, Standard Parcel or Collection etc. As the normal letter stamps and large letter costs are going up, it's safe to assume so are the packet charges since that is tier 3 for standard mail.0 -
No idea, It was not included in the mans press/branch info, sorry.0

Personally I don't think these 'buy it now before the price increases' threads are really grabbits.
These things go up most years, common sense says to stock up before the increase.
Same as the person who posted about buying the yearly rail ticket before the fares increase.Fog on The Tyne isn't mine all mine... but if I wanted it, I'd want it with a discount code.0 -
Thanks for reminding us about the price increase. Does anyone know when Superdrug will stop selling reduced stamps please?
NB Costco also sell reduced stamps, not sure how much cheaper they are, but they sell reduced second class ones too.0 -

In which case you are free to ask a board guide to move the threads.0
