Looks a tad fiddly.
Best to buy genuine part as well.0 -
a 'bit' fiddly
thanks for the link, but like i said - she's going to leave it to somebody who knows what they're doing :beer:The more one gets to know of men, the more one values dogs.0 -
I have a SportKa and have this issue, mine's more tempermental though, in that it'll blow out cold air until you switch it to anywhere above cold, at which point it'll be boiling hot air. Once hot it wont go cold again unless you turn the car off and then start from scratch. I was quoted £65 - £70 to supply and fit. I assumed it was a dealer only part to be honest, but if they're as common a fault as I believe they are, I wouldn't be surprised if that wasn't the case!0

just buy the valve and try it your self you will be amazed what you can do if you try
i made my friend change his head gasket once and the most he had ever done was put oil in
he was so excited when he got it all back together and it started up it was like christmas for him
fords have always rusted round the petrol cap it comes as standard0 -
i don't really something you can put down to trial and error and just 'give it a try' - might end up costing more in the long run, plus my sister has already decided she is going to a garageThe more one gets to know of men, the more one values dogs.0
-
so why did you post if you wont try and fix your self should have just gone to the garage and get financially raped0
-
because i asked if there was a way, and i found out there was but my SISTER decided it looked too tricky and didn't want to risk it.
i thanked people for their helpThe more one gets to know of men, the more one values dogs.0 -
If the problem is so widespread, how come Ford have not had a recall on this issue?
Or have they ?0 -
Not come across this valve thing before, I wonder if it's failure has something to do with people turning the heating to either full or maximum, but never somewhere in the middle?“I may not agree with you, but I will defend to the death your right to make an a** of yourself.”

Na it's a ford thing
They either work perfectly or they break down continually.
