    I rarely buy bubble wrap.

This can be obtained from supermarkets who use it between the layers of fruit and veg on display. I'm sure it is already in the crates when delivered and then thrown out when empty.

i once saw a man struggling to take what i later found out was a very large mirror out of his van and get it into the shop next to my flat. i told him i'd help him carry it if i could have all the bubble wrap around it and he quickly agreed!

someone was obviously VERY careful as it wound up being about 10 metres long  needless to say that helped me with my ebay sales for a very very long tim :T

    You are joking??

Seeing what goes on behind the scenes I don't even fancy meat for human consumption - so what do yu think does into dog food?? If you're that starped for cash why not just eat veg??

I believe dog and cat food must be suitable for human consumption before it can be sold for animals..............saying that I'd never consider eating it

Errr...now I've finished falling about laughing....ummm...I DO have to say that "Actually - no - pet food ISNT really even suitable for animal consumption"....

Try googling "Rebecca Hosking" + "dog food". I tried to put a link up to a Daily Mail article I found on this - but for some reason it came up with a different article.

This is something I've known for a while - before Rebecca Hosking started up a campaign about it. For years now I've thought "If I ever decide to get a dog - it ain't eating conventional canned dog food".

Please 'scuse which website I found it on <cough> - but I have found an article about the dogfood and it includes a working link to that article I mentioned.

I thought that the dog food comment was a joke. Do you know what goes into some of them? Seriously, you could end up with some really bad illness:eek:
I don't eat fish, just don't like the idea. They are scavengers, to me it's like eating mice or rats! After watching that programme nothing would induce me to eat it now. (There are other threads on this programme at the moment)

I can supply links to a couple of vegetarian websites if anyone wants them.....:) (did my reading about fish as well years back....). Darn it - and the level of pollution in our seas generally - as I LIKE fish and seafood:( <walks off feeling hard done by>:mad:

Ladies....................it was a joke, in response to how the thread had taken a turn from being embarrassing tips to not embarrassing tips (as it seems to have again).

It was the most awful thing I could think of! :rotfl:

I thought the wink would give it away.

I really thought Ceridwen had got it with her comments about my dinner guests going "ruff ruff and looking for a lampost!"

No, someone earlier on had described disguising a tin of stewed steak and that gave me the idea.

Having said that, I do remember a rumour going around our village that someone fed their kids on cat food! (it must have been in my subconcious).

I should have put more winks. :)
