Eating last sandwich

Well if you can't find £0.50p for a UHT milk then obviously food is precious and both parties should be aware of the fact there is no more money right away for replacements and act accordingly. Once the guilty party has to go without they will soon (hopefully) realise what this means.0

My husband has coeliac disease and I don't so we have separate bread. I never realised what a mine-field life would be if this weren't the case.0

Bread yes lol, Mum eats alot of it and I don't. I'd buy a nice loaf and it'd be gone really quick with me getting 2 slices if I was lucky, so we made an agreement to buy our own, and it works fine. I keep mine in the freezer I eat so little so she never pinches mine when she forgets to get more and runs out.0

We either have too much bread and end up throwing away stale bread, or we dont have enough, it seems there is no "just enough" to be satisfactory. Milk is never too much of a problem, if we have to use it up, its cereal or a milky coffee\chocolate, if there is not enough we can nip to the local shop n get some. We both have a golden rule regarding milk; If we are down to our last drop in the evening, we save it for the brews in the morning.
There is nothing worse than waking up for work, without having a brew first.:A:dance:1+1+1=1:dance::A

This is obviously more of a problem than just sandwiches, it seems to have extended to milkgate and toast gate also!
the only reason i bought a set amount of baps and meat is because it is the last week of work and i know that anything else would be a waste, as the OH barely eats bread. And im fed up of waste.
She made it up to me however, firstly in the 'sober diminuation area' (pub) and then in the 'funtime zone' (bedroom)
All in all it worked out ok:D0 -

My flatmate once ate the piece of pate I had been saving myself as a treat. It was big enough for two portions, but he put the whole lot on his plate, toasted about four slices of bread (the remainder of the loaf, obviously) and then ate half, leaving the rest to go dry and manky on the counter top till i got home. When I asked what he planned for my dinner now, he suggested I get a takeaway. Then asked if he could 'dip in'. I told him that the next time he took my food without asking and wasted yet more of it, I would shove the value of it in two pences pieces so far up his backside he would be jingling for weeks.
He made me an omlette, did all the washing up and cooked dinner the next night. We have an understanding now.
Flat mates are different imo, if a flat mate did that - who had paid nothing towards the groceries, i would be p*ssed off too - but in a family it should be different. When shopping, if your OH is paying half of the food bill then they should be able to eat half the food without asking permission. Just a thought. But then i treat my husband like the grown man he is, not like a child. Lifes far too short to be petty and create resentments over a peice of meat out of the fridge that he has paid for anyway..The opposite of what you know...is also true0 -
I honestly don't think I've laughed so hard at a thread in a long time ... all because I know I'd feel exactly the same. Some of the responses on here are absolutely priceless.
I'm very passive-aggressive as well. I get annoyed by food related "incidents". The most recent being;- Buying multipack crisps and always ending up having to eat the cheese and onion variety because the missus eats all the others first.
- Buying two of the same microwave meal (we work shifts) so we can have one each, only for the OH to eat both of the same one because they're the best ones (I'd buy three, but you can guess what would happen!)!

i know just how you feel. I go out of my way to make sandwiches etc for my OH, only to find them still in the fridge the next day. Yes, I don't bother anymore...!!!!:D0
