Eating last sandwich

I got a bit annoyed this morning but the OH cannot understand why, so please let me know if I am being a bit petty.
On monday i bought 4 baps/muffins/teacake/barm (depending on where you are reading this) and 8 pieces of meat for my lunch at work. the sandwich to work ratio was spot on for the tuesday-friday work schedule.
It turns out that lunch is to be provided on Friday, so i treated myself to an extra sandwich yesterday, a mid-week treat if you will, which left enough sandwich making material for today only.
Last night i mentioned to OH that i had forgotten to make my lunch, so I would have to make it in the morning. Imagine my horror when OH informed me that she was hungry and had eaten the last sandwich!
so now i have nothing for my lunch, and im hungry, hence the rant.
Am I being petty here or am I just in being a bit miffed?

Not exactly grounds for divorce is it?
I would probably have sulked for about an hour....I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
Umm a bit of both, I get a bit precious over my food, as in if I know I have got something in the cupboard or fridge and I am saving it for another day when I fancy it and then my OH eats it, I do get peed off, but I shouldn't really cos I never specifically told him I was saving it, so how would he know?
But my OH rarely takes sarnies, it is usually leftovers of what we had the day before, so he usually has something ready to go. On the occasion we have had something like stir fry and there is no leftovers, then he will just take a can of soup or even some beans out of the cupboard. He has never complained to me about it.0 -
IT turned out well as I insisted that I had to go out for lunch as I had no sarnies.
I had a LOVELY lunchtime meal... without OH.... and told him ALL about it when we got home, at some length, mentioning that I HAD to go out as there was no sarnie left for me.I am a cow so cannot speak Bullshine but I do recognise its smell when I come upon it.0 -
not only do i have to walk 10 minutes to be able to eat at lunch, It is also raining, which adds to the injustice of it all.0

Nothing like a good rant. Feel better now?0

I don't think you're being petty in the least. Whenever my other half makes a sandwich I wait until his back is turned and take the smallest, quickest bite I can. It incenses him."Growth for growth's sake is the ideology of the cancer cell" - Edward Abbey.0

With that food stealing attitude I am glad that I am not, as I dont feel that it would work out!0 -
This post made me laugh. Did your OH know that she was eating the last sandwich ? If she didn't then I'd say let it go ... if she did then it's war0

If they knew it was your last sandwich and they still ate it, I would exact revenge :P.. just kidding. I would just tell them that it was your last sarnie and as a result you've had to spend your money on eating out at a lovely placeCompetition Wins:
