You haven't got a surname that stands out have you - I remember friends of mine making pranks phone calls from phone boxes to people with more unusual surnames - maybe the pranks have got worse? Or I had a friend whose ex kept ringing 999 and getting the fire bridge or ringing taxis etc. It may be you never find out who it is but I think it would be worth talking to all the people who are deliverying and setting up some sort of password - I'd be so annoyed by now! Hope it tails off.0

Charlie - on the subject of your dissertation - I see you are getting advice from the police side. Well, PCSOs are of course civilian employees, so my advice would be to contact the local police Unison branch. They will give you a lot of info from the PCSO side. (I'm the Chair of our local Police Unison branch so I know the advice would differ!!)0

I had this happen to me years go only it was taxis being sent to my house at 2/3 am on a daily basis. I stopped answering the door after one taxi driver nearly assaulted me over it.
Turned out to be some kids in the street who thought it would be fun. I phoned around all the taxi firms in the area and told them not to send out taxi's to my house unless a certain name was given. It knocked it on the head.Wow, I got 3 *, when did that happen :j:T:p
It is not illegal to open another persons mail unless you intend to commit fraud - this is frequently incorrectly posted
I live in my head - I find it's safer there:p

Well my surname is slightly unusual (actually quite common in places but people always want me to spell it to make sure haha) however the food is never delivered to my name, its always something random, Ive had 'Robin' 'Bonzo' all kinds of things like that. Its definitely not friends as no-one really knows where I live.
Other than Domino's I don't know where the takeaways are from, Chineese's and Indian's I assume - would be interesting to find out because I live about 30 secs down the road from both so I assume its not them - finding out if they are from a particular part of town could be interesting although wouldn't really give me any idea who is doing it.
Was thinking a password probably isn't ideal as its two properties but could always say only deliver to X names but there again how likely are the places to remember this. Interestingly enough I logged onto my Domino's account the other night to order and to the side it says "The store or the delivery driver may call the number you provide to confirm your order/address" - Its never said that before so I guess Domino's may have linked it to my account. I never did get phoned though.
Did actually have a brainwave after people said it could have been meant for the old tennant that maybe it was the old tennant? From what I heard from the LL she had a breakdown and didn't pay her bills, got evicted and then did a runner and is in huge amounts of debt (Ive seen the post!!) maybe if she's actually gone mad then maybe its of her doing - although I would say somewhat unlikely as she moved out in Feb last year?
Actually had a night off from it last night!Charlie - on the subject of your dissertation - I see you are getting advice from the police side. Thanks might be something for me to look into, although this Inspector is putting me in touch with all his PCSO's so Im interviewing all them and also the officers that work with them.
Have to admit I feel in a bit of a privilledged position - feel like I know things that I shouldn't - last night I read the interim review report of gwent police, was quite interesting.MFW 2020 #111 Offset Balance £69,394.80/ £69,595.11

Something's just occured to me. The takeaway people are pretty stupid to delivery to silly names like Bonzo aren't they? Especially if it keeps happening, its kinda obvious.0

Surprised this thread is still going. Thought it was a joke at first. If not, only thing to do OP, is phone the local taxi firms/food delivery services and explain to them, and maybe arrange a password just in case you actually want the services.0

No joke - still happening...
OH's money is on the granny's in the retirement block opposite thinking noone would ever suspect them haha
Was a fairly quiet week for it last week only had the two but I bet you it will be all of this week again - seems to follow that pattern for some reason.
Have found out the contact details for my local neighbourhood policing team so Im going to contact them about it and see what they say
