Will give full refund when set returned, was sent in a very large box I did not send any envelope and I have photographic proof of the parcel which I can provide for paypal. Box contained 624 pieces not 1, and all would need to be returned in order to receive refund.
I have responded with:-
Many thanks for clarifying you did not send the envelope, perhaps you can explain why your tracking number is firmly attached to said envelope you did not send? I can provide physical (not photographic) evidence to Paypal if need be.
Wonder what his next trick will be, that i steamed the label off his box and glued it onto the envelope!
Thats exactly what I thought you must have done! :rotfl:
I wish I'd not started reading this ebay board as there are some awful people on ebay - I've just sold all sorts of things over the past month and have agonised over whether people will be happy with their items and that they have actually got there in the snow - my husband says I worry too much - but reading what people get up to is appauling - especially when you buy things in good faith and you are let down so badly - I hope you manage to find a replacement present in time - not easy so close to Christmas. Best of luck - but I think you've got a pretty clear case to get your money back - but annoying to have to go through all that stress/hassle.0 -
Does your envelope show the postage costs as this will add weight to your argument as there will obviously be a discrepancy between a big box and a light envelope.0

This just sounds really bad and I hope you sort it out - can't give you much other help than has already been given but just wanted to add my sympathy to the thread and my thoughts and hopes this gets sorted as this is just ... words fail me but despicable is the most printable word I can say here.
It may have been done to put you off claiming, and I wonder how many other people they have conned in this way and intimidated into not claiming."Well, it's election year, Bill, we'd rather people didn't exercise common sense..." - Jed Bartlet, The West Wing, season 4

It doesn't show the actual postage cost, but does have a 1st class large letter stamp on it along with the recorded delivery label. So they should be able to see there's a discrepancy.0 -
Recorded delivery! What are the chances of that actually being signed for?!My TV is broken!

Edit: refunded £515 for TV 1.5 years out of warranty - thank you Sale of Goods Act! :j0 -
It's a clever scam, but it looks like he might have been not clever enough. (The story alone sounds like a scam - I can't see how he can get away with it!)
Happymumto2, I hope you nail him so nicely he gets banned. Although, he'll pobably start trading under another name.
I do believe you will get your money back - keep going for it.0 -
Well either there is something horribly wrong with the postal service so that a box can turn into an envelope en route or you have met one of the nastiest sellers I think has ever been mentioned on here.

This is one instance where the £5 ish for special delivery is more than justified.
For your info your return only has to be attempted, not delivered, so if they refuse delivery, you are covered.0 -
When this is resolved, please come back and name and shame. No seller deserves anonymity in this situation.0
