    I would love it :D

I've made close friends and family biscuits which i decorated in choccy and small decs like smarties etc, i had great fun making them and even though they aren't perfect I'm pleased with them! :) One of my friends was really flattered when i gave her a bag of them, because i'd taken time to make them. I gave different people different shaped and decorated biscuits, so each bag was different!

    Go for it! :D

  • I did this last year for at the time my new boyfriends parents who I was to meet Christmas day. I bought a platter type plate from wilkos for 97p and filled it with rocky road, coconut ice and biscuits and then wrapped in cellophane, I plan to do the same again this year after she handed me back the plate in october after keeping it most of the year!

  • Sounds like a lovely idea, I'd love someone to give me that gift rather than the usual toiletries, red wine, port etc. Especially as I don't drink red wine or port :o.

I'm sure that everyone will be impressed with the effort, thought and time that went into making them.

I too would love a nice gift like this. There has been more thought and love gone into it than someone nipping out to buy gifts, not knowing what to get and grabbing just any old thing,

On this website there's a cupcake/muffin box to print off, cut out and make. Useful if that's the sort of thing you're making although it only fits one muffin - the muffin pictured on the site looks fantastic! I'm not making muffins but made one of the boxes to package the elf shoes I made.

For me a good handmade gift must be: something the recipient actually wants or would like/enjoy, and also something well made/properly done.

The handmade gifts I dislike are where some one just makes a dozen of item x because they can, with no thought to whether the recipient will actually want/like it, or people who make "junk", and think because it's home made it has more worth. Sorry but if you're over 5 years old and want to give a homemade gift, please be sure it's at least well made.
A waist is a terrible thing to mind.
