  • It sounds lovely, i would love to get a homemade gift like this.
My sister (19) was telling me how one of her key children at nursery had bought her in a beautiful hmade gift. She was much happier with this than the new look vouchers etc she got (although they were appreciated obviously)

The gift was about 5 boxes each a diff size, starting large at the bottom with a hmade patonne (Sp) loaf, next box some kid of biscuits, fudge, something elsse ??? then the top box was 4 really rich hmade truffles.

I was worried about giving teacher homemade gifts though incase they wouldnt eat it? i still went ahead though, didnt get much of a reaction though. It was a christmas cake my mum a chef made they looked lovely. got a better reaction last year when i gave out gap vouchers id got free!!
  • I wish you were my friend! Sounds great :o)
  • I'd be really chuffed if someone had spent the time putting something like that together for me!

I would be happy with that :) Personally though, I would always give something I had bought as well as the homemade stuff. It seems a little bit cheap otherwise, in my opinion. I know a lot of you will disagree though, which is fine.

we need to see some pics of the finished article.

My family would eat all that well before Christmas and then want some more for Christmas, so be prepared if someone wants spares.
