Ah Yoyosma, that is rotten luck. I once worked for a company who forgot to pay me, didn't tell me and then all my DD etc went out and the charges were astronomical!! Luckily for me about a year later I followed the advice on here about how to claim bank charges and was successful. Don't be down. Just imagine when you're debt free and they can't help themselves to anymore of your money!!
Okay so, still managing to give up smoking and taking in lunch everyday so have paid the next £30 which means 590/10,000!!£3707.05/£10,0000 -
That is a bad run of luck yoyosam. May I suggest though that you change all your direct debits so that they don't come out of your account so close to your payday? Maybe they should be 5/6 of the month - that way you won't get caught again. Well done by starting your payments anyway - one more step towards being free of the greedy b*stards for ever!0

Thanks everyone for the updates, I'll update the first page now.
Loving the ideas for the mini challenge Copperjar, I might join you from next month. I'm thinking of dividing my 'official' debt into 1000 x £35, and seeing if I can raise £35 1000 times. Ehallet did something similar, and I think it's a great idea. Obviously that won't include interest, but £35 is a relatively easy amount to raise. I won't include monthly payments, so they will hopefully cover the interest, and I'll just try and raise the £35 segments as overpayments.
I certainly love the idea of splitting the debt into bite sized chunks.
Have had a good start with mine - eBay sale today on a BIN for £19.99 - so I'll add a penny and there's the first £20. Also have been paid for my Amazon sale from earlier in the month - £26.26, so that's the second one done! Another packed lunch so another £2 in the pot.
How's everyone else doing? Any more ideas for raising £20?[STRIKE]Total debt 1.11.10 £23,446[/STRIKE]Save £6k in 2015 #129 £6121.66/£6000Save £6k in 2016 #39 £6000/£60000 -
