Ooh, you must be better with spreadsheets than I am, I was looking at mine, trying to work out how to make it better, but I'm probably better keeping it simple so I don't get too confused!:o**Debt Free as of 15:55 on Friday 23rd March 2012**And I am staying that way

I am a total Excel nerd I have to say, being able to glance at it and see a BIG column in the debts paid off column is nice but in a few months it'll switch to money saved and that'll be even better!!0

You are doing great Jacci - you make so much effortI have suddenly become obsessed again to try and lower my final score for the year but at the same time there are christmas / year end costs to cover.

Thanks for the updates everyone, and jacci yes it can be tedious, but it will all be worth it in the end!
I don't think anyone should feel disheartened for not reaching target - any overpayment counts, and I think a lot of people (including me!) set targets that they didn't have a clue how they would reach, but something that would really stretch them.
I imagine that most people will be ending the year in a better position than they were at the start of the year, and if not - well there's always next year.
I guess I'll have to start thinking about setting up the thread for next year soon. Will probably do it in December to give people a chance to sign up."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". You have done a great job maintaining this challenge JWIL and I for one will definitely be on the next one. Without the challenge I would not have done as much as I have this year.0

Aww thanks Lam - it's everyone who's taken part that's made it what it is. I'm just glad I wasn't floating around here on my lonesome "Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". By the way everyone, I'm looking for snappy titles for next year's thread - any suggestions?"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0
