I have been informed yesterday that there is a propasal to delete my job which if not successful in get anything else means i will be issued with reduncency notice from the 1st June the question i am asking here is would you continue paying off large lumps had been doing £1000 per month over payments or would you save it just in case and go back to paying the loan amount? really not sure what to do any advice?

What is anybody else doing about there car loans do they include it as a debt?
I don't have a car loan, but I would count it as it is still a debt."Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
So far paid £385/5000
Feeling quite happy about that
Well done Witchypoo, it's a great start, and very satisfying to see the figures going down!"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
I don't have a car loan, but I include everything that I owe in my debt total apart from my mortgage. You're paying it and it's money you owe, so I guess yes!
I include my mortgage (though not in this challenge) because it makes me feel like my overall debt is not so stupidly high as other people have mortgages in the £170ks :rotfl:whereas a debt of £40k + just depresses me"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". ooooooh, just noticed this is my 3,000th post. What a lot of time I spend on here! Lol
Ooh, is 3000 when you get your 4th medal? I've often wondered when that is.
You spend productive time on here though as you give good advice"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -

Not technically a "pay-off" yet but put £50 across to the "loan overpayment" account today - it's such a hassle to overpay that I only do it once a month, so that can sit there until payday on the 25th when it shall be joined by a whopping £800 overpayment, things going well. That's thanks to working my a** off last month, doing 73hrs of overtime and averaging a 66hr working week the whole month. Can't say I've done the same this month - done 24hrs of overtime so far with another 24hrs booked for next week.
:eek: You must be shattered! Hope the pay packet makes it all worth it though"Good financial planning is about not spending money on things that add no value to your life in order to have more money for the things that do". Eoin McGee0 -
