Probably a combination of both, I only started in July but I've noticed things down South seem to go really quickly, whereas if I lived in Yorkshire, Dorset or any place in Scotland that's not a major city then I'd be able to pick up loads of work as they seem t hang around forever!
Not that I'd consider moving to pick up MS work, but I'm certainly rethinking my holiday destinations this year0 -

I use to do about 20 GfK per month whereas I'm now lucky if I get 2. With GR I use to do about 3 per month and now about 1 every 3 months. BARE is practically non existent now, as with TERN and Abai have dropped about 50%.
Could it be lack of work available or that there is now more competition in gaining assignments? Now on the 5:2 diet.

I give my accountant a spreadsheet detailing company, client, date, reimbursement, fee, mileage and printing costs for each assignment I do, in date order.0 -

In terms of the actual tax return, you would combine all the income and enter the total on the self employment page as 'mystery shopping' is your self employment activity. The companies are merely clients
As long as you can show HMRC where you got your figures from if they ask then you'll be fine.
If you're giving it to someone else like an accountant then I would send in more detail as mysterious girl does0 -

Trust me, there's not loads of work hanging around for ages. The jobs that hang around in my patch are isolated single jobs that are round trips of 40-50 miles. Would need to be daft to do them for the normal fee. There's few shoppers in this area but very few jobs also.
Thats why I've only got one booked for the whole year so far. The good jobs go quick enough.0 -
I'm hoping ESA money goes in on Friday, as the 9th is a Sunday. The payment notes on their site say if the 9th is a weekend it will go in on the next working day. Fingers crossed anyway.0
