Eventually managed to get online using the keyboard buttons and searched google for the problem, and there's a little button right next to the on/off button to switch the touch pad on and off :o.

WHY would you even make one of those? I really don't see the point of it other than to torment me when i've got a deadline!

Some people don't get on with the touch pad.

On my laptop, the touchpad is super senstive. I type fast and sometimes the touchpad registers my wrist moving over it as a tap and it moves the cursor  I ended up turning the tap off, and just use the buttons when I need to click on anything.

Has anyone had any surveys removed from edigtial? I had some that had a deadline of the 25th and I'd done the email enquiries and first page on them. I was going to finish them off this weekend, but they've all been taken away from me :(
Here I go again on my own....

I had the same with surveys - Even though I emailed and said would complete in a couple of days...no response and now they've been taken of me.
  • Anyone know what is involved in a REAL D project with a certain MS company that does cinema visits?

Hooray - my comments about the scarf were sufficient and it has gone from pending to being paid on 10/3.

Have been signing up with lots of other places so hope to get something else soon.

Sometimes all RE want is a bit more detail... and once they get it they are good. There is nothing malicious behind SOME of their requests. But others are just plain silly.
  • Thank you for all the information, I have recently had my hours cut down at work and looking for some extra income to make up the lost wages.
My wife is also interested, in your experience would it be advantageous if we applied as a couple to 'shop' at restaurants and hotels etc?
    Thank you,
    Roger

Think Real D is the brand name of the 3D system most of the cinemas use so guessing it's something to do with that. No idea what exactly though...

You dont "make" money doing retaurants and hotels thats a fact generally people do those for a break and getaway or me I do them because ive got 10 jobs 50 miles away from home and spending a night overnight saves on petrol.

Most places DO NOT want couples. Why-- because in a retail store your less likely to be approached by a sales assistant in a pair, and you are easily distracted in a pair.

Yeah, you can't apply as a couple anyway as when signing up you are asked for your name and details, and only one set can be put in.

The best thing to do would be for you both to apply separately to the companies on the first page of this thread, then when you see jobs decide which of you will do it and then log onto that account and take the job.

Some jobs will require you to take someone with you (so you can both do together) but some will forbid it, it will say in the briefing notes if you need to or can't. If it doesn't say it is up to you (although for meals etc you may lose out by both going if only one is reimbursed).
