You've done more jobs than me and I've been doing this for ages so don't apologise.
Can't answer your questions as not sure which shops you are after, probably the best thing to do is have a read through some of the older threads in this series and you will pick up stuff. Plus you'll see the reoccuring themes, which may answer your Gyp question.0 -

I thought it would be about mystery shopping but it's not really. I'm finding it interesting from a marketing and changing the business culture perspective as I studied that. If you're not interested in that though I can see why you find it boring. Here I go again on my own....0 -
Is anyone doing an AA charity shop? I'm confused about the purchase item, does it have to be what you are told to enquire about?
I've emailed them for clarification but wanted to do the job this morning. I think I'll phone if I don't hear back in time - are they OK about being called?
Editted to add - super fast response, in case anyone else is confused, you can then go on to buy anything you choose.0 -

Oh yes I can see why it would be beneficial to you considering your background but there's not much in it for MSers except getting annoyed0 -

I really like the secret filming parts - and thinking yep, had that happen to me, and that...
and laughing when the company in question's statement is read out, stating how that type of service is rare.
They obviously don't read their MS reports too closely then!Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?

I dont think it does. I read it as the purchase is your choice as long as it's below the reimbursement.0 -

:Whispers: Look at post 3 on this thread, there is a step by step guide to sorting out your paperwork!!!
What disappoints me is the fact that any newbies with any feedback are effectively run out of town as they are nasty individuals stealing honest folks work. :rotfl:
This thread is a great read but any newbies shouldn't be just run out of town for not understanding something. It's a free market folks and people are going to pick up jobs, trying to run them off this board doesn't help anyone and for me it's unfair.
As long as you have your jobs with the companies you work for, continually deliver good reports on time in full and do what you say when you say you will, you really have very little to worry about.
Of course this only applies to a few posters, the rest are a good bunch.(DFW Long Haul # 240 )0 -

Sadly, the work is often not allocated according to quality of reports, but by fastest finger. Hence, the more shoppers looking for work, the less each individual shopper will get. The majority of us do not have regular work that is allocated directly to us, and even if we do it doesn't make up a large percentage of our workload.
Incidentally, I haven't read everything so I apologise if your comment was out of context, I'm not arguing with anyone, just wanted to point out the error in your comment. I didn't think TG was trying to run anyone out of town, she's one of the most helpful people you'll find on here. Since the info is already posted at the start of the thread, what is so offensive about TG pointing someone in that direction?0 -
What disappoints me is the number of new posters who come on here, don't read the vast amount of information that posters have spent a lot of time putting together and then expect the information to be spoon-fed to them! No-one is run out of town, but if you don't try and help yourself by reading the FAQs and using google then I am not going to waste my time with you.
We are always willing to help, and share tips but sometimes it is very obvious to us who is just here to make a quick buck and these people usually don't want to put the effort in.
Plus (no offense to stryder) we will generally not answer "who MSs x company" as firstly it's against our terms and conditions when we sign up to the companies and secondly it is a dog eat dog world out there! MSing is hard work and it takes dedication, ultimately we want and need to protect our own workload. Yes it's selfish, but if you work hard enough, get experience and use your head a little you can progress on your own.0 -

It wasn't directed at her at all, it was just that particular message I quoted, there are some comments just above from hers that are a bit off from my point of view.
I quite agree that folk should read posts and questions about who shops which chain are daft.(DFW Long Haul # 240 )0
