Sorry to sound stroppy, but everything you need to know is on this site, but you need to search, look and READ, instead of expecting other people to do everything and spoon feed you.
I'm quite happy to answer questions, or give clarification and/or advice/suggestions, as are we all, but you DO need certain skills to be a decent MSer, and that includes using initiative and reading instructions properly and thoroughly.calamity-j wrote: »I think you do sound stroppy, and that's up to you. I wasn't talking about people not taking the time to even read the thread or expecting to be spoon fed, of course that happens way too much. I was talking about making the mistake, which I freely admit I did when I first read the thread of somehow missing reading that post. And funnily even though I did make that error, as well was the mistake of asking about it, I still manage to have the skills to be a decent MSer.
There is a lot of information on post 2 and sometimes a guiding hand can be enough to help folk, just referring them to post #2 isn't assisting people. You might as well shut the forums and just have a load of guidance posts.
Unless they are ridiculous questions where they haven't bothered but some folk on here display the poor service that they are being recruited to stamp out. I know folk dont get paid on here and the like but serioiusly, try take a step back and help some others out?

I think the original poster regarding this had asked where to find some information for adding abai clients and HAD been refered to the correct post, which she obviously again hadn't read properly.
If you look through my post I do mention that we all help out, BUT, as I said, I still think if you can't read an instruction properly MSing isn't the job for you.
I have helped, as have many on here, and if you look back you will see this.
I was commenting on the abilities you need to be a GOOD MSer, not just a 'let's make a quick buck' MSer who wont remain here long once they realise the good jobs aren't going to go to them the first week.
We all had to learn, and I am extremely grateful for all the help I did receive, and still do, but I do try to answer any queries myself before asking on here, as I think using initiative is also one of the qualities that sorts a good MSer from the mundane.0 -
Quite agree with you regarding initative and there some who come on here and expect £1k in their first month and oceans of jobs that are just waiting to be taken, newbies aren't necessarily a bad thing but interesting that for RE with 9000 extra shoppers still having a ton of pubs available says a lot....
Anyway - its not a witchunt and was just something I wanted to mention.(DFW Long Haul # 240 )0 -

I do remember someone telling me that RE have had to reshop quite a lot of the newbies pubs.
I have no issue with new people, just the ones who think, as you say, they will be earning a fortune for doing nothing.0 -
Re: the point in question - I'm not new to MSing, but had never registered with Abai until recently. I could only see one client, so I used the search function, found the post on this thread which refers to adding clients, and then read it throroughly. Sure enough, all the information I needed was there, and I now have the full list on my profile.
Everyone here has been very helpful whenever I've had a query, and I'm grateful for that. But if someone asks a question, is actively directed by a helpful poster to where they can find the information, but still thinks that itsn't help enough, what more is there to do? Post a step-by-step instruction every time, for what others did by their own initiative?Egg Loan - [strike]£4921.84[/strike] £0!! :j Barclaycard - £3866.47 Legal + Trade - [strike]£2700.96[/strike] £0!! :j Triton - [strike]£1730.89[/strike] £0!! :j Next - [STRIKE]£776.15[/STRIKE] £126.88 Littlewoods - [strike]£217.16[/strike] £0!! :j Housemate - [strike]£1300[/strike] £0!! :j Capital One - [STRIKE]£1652.51[/STRIKE] £1,081.58 Vanquis - [strike]£2337.75[/strike] £375.58

But (being the person who referred her to post #2) what additional guidance would you have given in this case (without repeating what was in Post #2), ABA-I is in blue and bold, underneath there is "Adding New Client" (one of the few sections also in bold).
Without knowing what queries a person may have I couldn't really do much other than repeat what is in post #2. When they've read it (and possibly don't understand), then I'll happily give them a guiding hand.
Otherwise similarly to your comment you might as well get rid of the guiding posts and write an idiot's guide every time someone asks the question.0 -
omg this thread does not ever change! :rotfl:
has anyone received a present from gap in the last few days? :rotfl::p
re retail maxim- i live 2 miles from city centre and some annoying person obviously lives closer as i dont get jobs now grrrrrr. i am going to rectify that soon :rotfl:
re retail active, i have been accepted and had an email saying i would be notified when there is a job. see people putting alerts on altert thread for them- how do i get on site? have not been sent details
going to sign up to aa and hellion i think, bit sick of the others. loving gfk though!
and one more thing- is anyone else being harrassed by esa? they are phoning me at least 6 times a day and leaving me messages saying is job available. i dont call them back as i am not available but they still call me (once 9 minutes apart). always call from different person so clearly do not communicate.thinking of removing number or deleting my account. dont do that much for them and is so annoying!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

Did you expect it to change!:p
Retailactive login:
https://retailactiveshopper.co.uk/
my login is email & password last 4 digits of phone number I think (but you can reset), you'll need to search for jobs in other areas however as you probably won't have any locally.
Yep, completely harrassed by ESA (usually by James), no point in saying "No Thanks" as someone else rings later with the same job
OK! - how come everyone else is getting presents from Gap and I don't
Oh yes...... I don't do much work for them, that must be it!0 -
thanks. i will give it a go!
i havent done a burger job for months but i have been sent a gaptimer thing. its one that does not look like a stopwatch so you can hold it while doing the job but they have stupidly printed 'gapbuster on back'. sure burger employees wont know what that is so its a relief to know i will remain as unspotted as usual!:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j:j0 -

Wow!! I didn't think it was possible to give the game away any quicker than the brief already does0
