Hi Everyone
Mind if i tag along?
Finally worked out the matched betting.
started off with a kitty of £100 and so far in two days made £45 from cashback on greasy palm and just short of £35 from free bets.So £80 profit already and another £50 approx already bet on for weekend.By Saturday evening I should have more than doubled my initial £100.
Also just got cashback cheque from phone contract £36 and £2.99 cheque from moneyback on some mouthwash I bought. All in all a good week.:D
Total profit this week
approx £190:T :T :T0 -
I'll give it a go.
Can I use stuff that is already listed in ebay etc but hasn't sold yet?Car £1500
Parents £5000
Barclaycard £900.68
+ 127,000 Mortgage
all on my lonesome0 -
well done Sophiesmum on the matched betting - Im definately going to get everything downloaded and set up tonight so that I can get started as soon as possible - any tips on which bookie to register with first ? does anybody get a referral bonus for referring me to betfair ? if so do you want to refer me ?
Iwantahouse - I dont have a problem with including stuff that is already selling on Ebay - its still 'money from anything' and I am including stuff that I have already got going.
I have of set a target of £100 per week, which looking at Sophiesmums' figures for matched betting should be achieveable with other bits and bobs going on Ebay too.
I am off into town today so will be looking in the charity shops for good stuff to sell on ebay - the only thing that I know is a good seller is Ice Skates - Risport in good condition - they go for over £20 on Ebay and normally sell for a tenner in Charity shops. You dont see them very often though

To start from an even playing field shall we say that anything that was earned from yesterday (not before) can be counted - ie ebay things that havent sold are fine as money not earned yet but things earned in preceeding week (ie before yesterday) cant count...bit gutted about this as I have £20 waiting in quidco account but thing it will be unfair otherwise & there has to be some cut off...are people Ok with that? My cunning car boot plan has gone awry - its chucking it down here! Plan b....ummmaybe go & see if I can get stuff cheap anyway!! See you later! Will update sig later! Go make money people!!
This may help...

Hi oops
Before you rush into the matched betting make sure you understand it properly or you will end up losing money.Took me ages for it to click but once you understand the concept properly and understand the odds/back/lay system it is foolproof.I am going to try and make £50 per week from the matched betting.Once you understand it properly you will need to sign up to betfair and then you can go through cashback sites looking which bookies have offers on.Some people use quidco,I had a couple of bad experiences with quidco cashback and don't use it much, I use greasy palm the cashback amounts are usually less but i get my money, but lots of others swear by quidco.

Can i join too please. I always follow emilys thread but also cant remember what we can count etc so didnt join in.
I am on my own today so once I have whizzed the vacuum cleaner around a bit i'll start looking at quidco etc.
My washing machine packed up this week & the plumber kindly told me that all parts are covered by 5 year gurantee so its cheaper to get Hotpoint to fix it. I contacted Hotpoint who said they could come Monday as long as i had proof of purchase. Doh! I bought it on the internet & my proof of purchase got wiped out when the old hard drive died. I logged on to the Tribal site to look for a phone number and found i could print off my invoice from there. Which is my long winded way if saying that yesterday I got 111 i-points for washing machine i bought in 2004. Good start ( i hope so anyway, are i-points worth having?)
What did we decide about Mystery Dining? I think it should be in as its a freebie.
Let the challenge begin!
Anastacia....another happy bug.........sorry,blogger embracing the simple life0 -
Back from a disasterous start! Decided to see if I could make some bath bombs whic I could sell when I do a car boot & also make for christmas pressies...an unmitigated disaster as you need cirtic acid & noone sells it at chemists because druggies use it to "cut" stuff (what stuff I'm unsure!) ...ahhhh!! Went to craft shop to have a look for moulds and they're quite expensive so thought I'd come & see if I could find something on ebay/internet...
Re anatracias ? remember that this is not like the other challenge in that you can buy/make stuff and accumilate from investment so you can do pretty much anything as long as outlay is taken from profit (ie net profit only is counted) so things like mystery dining will count but ay outlay must be deducted; same with things like quidco - if you have to bet 20 to get 10 you net profit will be 10! Clear as mud?!! Is that OK with everyone? Anyone had more success than me so far?!!Nerd no 109 Long haulers supporters DFW #1! Even in the darkest moments, love and hope are always possible.0 -
I think I'll join in with you if that's ok.
I've got a car to pay off and DH bought a VW camper T25 last month which wiped out our savings so really want to build them back up.
Not sure where I'll start, but my wardrobe could do with clearing nd I've made a tentative start with matched betting, just need enough time to actually sit down and find the bets etc.
I'm going to start from November 1 as I already have stuff in my Quidco month for October so will be esier to keep track.0 -
I'm more or less doing this anyway!
I have the following due in for November
cheque from reclaiming bank charges £223
Quidco cashback - £165.25
Money from pigsback (before they stopped the converting vouchers into money) £50
Mystery Shopping - £110
Amazon - £8.25
Cake Making - £105 (minus ingrediants)
total = £661.50 (my november aim is to pay £795 off our debt, so I still need to make £135ish
DEBT FREE for the first time in 10 years and with savings!

Hi fishface,
Could I join in too please? Recently I drew up a budget and have calculated that over the next year I need to bring in an extra £1,700 income to help pay towards mortgage debt. It's been daunting me and this sounds like the motivation I need to stop being so lazy!
I could have a go at trying to produce the spreadsheet if nobody else volunteers. Although I can only manage basic onesSo would be really happy if somebody else wants to create it
