Mum been hit from behind, what to do now?

You left it late to pull out, you were far too close to the Audi driver as you pulled out, had you have pulled out sooner in to the right lane, he may well have seen you sooner.
My wife does that on the motorway and it drives me mad. She'll drive right up to somebody and then pull out at the last minute, for absolutely no reason, ie there's no-one in the outside lane so she could have pulled out so much sooner.0 -

Inactive is correct in what he says.
Your video is completely irrelevant to the OP's situation anyway.
Maybe he's in an unmarked civvy video car policing lane 3 of the motorway.0 -

There is a reason.................she's a woman.0 -
Out of interest, can anyone hear an indicator being applied in the video, I can't - but you can hear absolutely everything else. My indicators make a noise, not sure if that's the same on all cars.0

One thing for certain, if he drove like that on a Driving Test, there would be only one outcome.0

I can hear unnecessary use of the horn which is an offence.
Funny how derrick only posts parts of the Highway code that he feels put him in the right.0 -

For all you muppets who disagree with me, the traffic police don't, after showing them the video they have "had words with him and advised him as to his driving"
You must see that before I change lanes, he is braking in the inside lane,(for what reason I do not know), I am then fully in the outside lane before he then moves out on to me as I am about 4-5 feet away from his rear bumper.
The reason no one can here my indicators is because they were not on, indicators only necessary if they can be of use to anyone else, (advanced driving course, re Roadcraft), there was no one behind me and as the Audi driver was in the inside lane, a check in his mirror would have shown me already there.
The parts of the HC quoted are the relevant ones.
I agree the video is irrelevant to the OP, but the only reason I joined the thread was to dispute the post by Gordon Hose re automatically rear drivers fault for a rear end shunt, it is not automatic.

You your an advanced driver.
If that were the case you'd know what the horn is for wouldn't you?
It's an audiable warning and not to be used in the way you used it.;)0
