I was aware of delays so we're not waiting on this for Christmas, but I still think that a week to get an online order shipped is fairly poor.
I'm having exactly the same problems with them - orders just sitting there but not being despatched.
I see they've updated their website this morning with the following. Looks like they're trying to cover themselves against non-delivery, because some of the places they show have no snow at all at the moment, and haven't had for some days.
If orders don't turn up in time for Christmas, despite being ordered last week, they're going to be getting a lot of claims for returns/refunds, and one of them will be mine.
Adverse weather - delivery update
We're still delivering to many areas of the UK - if there hasn't been snow, we should be able to get your order to you before Christmas.
However, in areas that have been affected by the adverse weather, we're sorry but we cannot guarantee pre-Christmas delivery. The worst affected areas* are:

Very disappointed with Thorntons - I ordered the family share hamper on 13th December and decided to call them today as its still not arrived. They checked and told me that it hadn't even been processed!! (although the money has come out my account) They were very apologetic and said it was an oversight. Obviously now it won't come in time for Xmas so I have cancelled it and just waiting for the money to be refunded.
I now have received an email from them saying my order has been previously dispatched and if I haven't received it to contact them. I tried to use the www address they provided to contact them but when I searched for it, it shows up as a possible phishing scam!:eek:
Now haven't a clue what's happening. Not sure whether I should wait and see if it arrives or start buying bits and pieces to replace the hamper. Not keen on calling them again as I had to wait ages to get through!! Nightmare!!If life gives you lemons, make lemonade.;)0 -

I'd say that means that its with the courier, but the courier hasn't loaded it on the van for delivery today, but instead has marked it as not delivered? But its anyone's guess really...
I think that the couriers have backlogs, so even when they get stuff, they aren't delivering same day as they should...0 -

I ordered the hamper on the 13th !, and entered the code for the free choc,s....I have tried to phone (and been kept hanging on !!!), e-mailed twice without sucess, to ask where my order is !, low and behold it has just arrived !, without the freebie !, I got through on the phone (after ages and ages) oly to be told that I had not added the item, although I did put in the code, I was told that the choc's would be sent but I would have to pay the postage again !!!, I said no, after a short time I was toold that they would send them free of P&P....., but am not going to get them in time for Chrismas :mad:0
