  • I can only hope people remember which companies drew a line at the border and vote with their feet in future.

    i'll be remembering.

I feel half the probem though is the BBC seem desperate to use their "exclamation mark triangle" and issue a severe weather warning when there is not normally a problem and I think we witnessed a case of "crying wolf" once to often and we didn't pay any attention.

Will be interesting to see what the end of the week brings.

your right, its the same every time theres a little bit of snow or ice,big weather warnings, don't go out unless you really need to rubbish.

then they really mean it and nobody pays any attention, myself included, because we've heard it so many times.

Remember last week? Major roads closed for two days? That causes a massive backlog. It's not necessarily the retailers making the rules it's the couriers as well. Our company can only ship to Scotland until Friday then the post codes will be blocked out until after Christmas. They were blocked for three days last week too. It's frustrating but it's the couriers planning for the next round of snow and trying to prevent another massive backlog and manage expectations. I know the Edinburgh depot of our courier had in excess of 20000 parcels waiting to come in early last week. When the weather continues the backlog spirals.

At the end of the day provided every one is safe at Christmas then does it really matter if some of the presents are late? And yes I'm waiting on deliveries too!

I'm not that bothered. As I said i'll just write IOU's. :D Fortunately I don't have any small children waiting on Santa - mine are all old enough to know they just have to wait. :)

I've just had my delivery, they said they tried last night but no one was in, I was and with two shelties that make a racket when anyone moves I'm sure they didn't try and deliver it. If it wasn't that what I ordered was for a child ( step granddaughter ) I wouldn't be bothered. Everything else on order is for adults so it doesn't really matter.

Same here. I'm doubly discriminated against. They won't accept my blood and M&S won't accept my orders. :rotfl:

I have two orders in since the 10th dec and keeps selling out one is a xmas gift and the other for me,its saying on my order page that it will be delivered by the 16th which is on thursday,ok i am in no hurry for my order and the xmas gift yes i would like to come before xmas to be honest but if later then no worries but be nice, there just does not seem to be any movment in my orders.

Ok i know they no longer take orders to scotland which sucks as i seen another items i would like to order but my orders for the above was done before then said they not post to scotland, should i email them and ask whats happening, when i get my orders etc or should i say nothing i am just worried they might just cancel them both as i know i will not get them at the price i got them for so what should i do maybe they just forgot to send them or waiting till there backlog is less before they send out newer orders, and anyone know when they be sending back to scotland or is this off till then?
