M&S no deliveries to Scotland
Options
Please be advised

Thank you for your recent email. I am sorry to hear that you are experiencing difficulties.
At present we cannot accept any orders for home delivery to Scottish postcodes as we can’t guarantee a definite delivery date.
Our delivery teams in Scotland have up to 7 days of parcels in their network due to the recent bad weather. Their warehouses are full and cannot take any more parcels until the backlog is cleared.
We are, however, still delivering Clothing and Home orders to all stores in Scotland, which is free of delivery charge.

My parcel has been sitting in depot for almost 2 weeks now. Spoke to a delivery driver this morning who said they had 36,000 orders at their depot backlogged. Nightmare0

and thier stores aren't much better either. poor selection of sizes i found this weekend.
a bit of disruption is to be expected after the coutry closed down for a few days, but i can't see how its created a 7 day back log....work permit granted!0 -
Their Scotland service isn't just bad .... it's M&S bad!
I had an order to store to collect. I had an email to say it was delayed (fine), then an email to say available to collect (yay), so tootled off 25 miles to the branch to collect (through the remnants of snow), queued at the collection point for over 40 minutes (not fine) to be told it hadn't arrived (not just not fine, not M&S fine).
Haven't yet complained as don't want to be sent the bogstandard weather disruption - I know the weather was bad - I had to walk through 2 feet of snow for 3.5 miles from Glasgow Central Station to my work, having had to abandon my car ... but it was doable as everyone else who managed it will vouch.
M&S - regretably, despite the fab bargains you churn out - this was not cool!0 -
Interesting that they have excluded Scotland as a whole.
So they will deliver to Carlisle but not Gretna?
Berwick upon Tweed but not Eyemouth?
Seems a bit arbitrary.0 -
I've had emails saying that my orders are 'on their way to the Dundee store' for me to pick up - I'll let you know!0

I'm expecting a delivery from them today, just checked the tracking and it's saying it should be with me. I'm not happy with city link though I've been waiting on my dogs food to be delivered for nearly two weeks now, just by chance I've found one pet shop in the whole of Edinburgh that stocks it and managed to get a bag on Saturday, my only problem now is my wee old girl has decided she doesn't want to eat it any more she want's the chicken breast she's been getting :rotfl:.0

Ah, that'll explain where my Dave the Funkey Monkey is. They'd better get this sorted before Christmas!0

I received my M&S order of a hamper yesterday (yes Sunday, was DHL). I was very surprised as it was only nearly a week delayed and had been sitting at the Edinburgh depot for a week.
I phoned M&S as had a query, and the advisor was very surprised I'd received it at all, as they'd postponed all deliveries to Scotland due to the weather. I have another order of xmas cards and a board game which I don't expect to receive in time for xmas, but these things happen and they'll do for next year.2017 - no clutter to be seen challenge: 72/2017

I waited in all day friday 10th for a delivery from Comet ordered on the 3rd, no delivery and this morning no apology just its with parcelforce and there is a backlog. BBC news website says no more christmas tesco direct orders being taken either. It seems I may have to give up on online shopping for Xmas.0
