A bleary eyed good morning to you all.

AnW's and Dippy - have a lovely birthday day please.

I'm cream-crackered... After making mince pies and sausage rolls last night, for guests expected today, they telephoned about 9.30pm to say they wouldn't be coming because of the weather. Quite frankly, I don't blame them. But if I'd known earlier, I wouldn't spent all that time cooking. Still, they can freeze.

Then I woke up about 4 am to find BB had been sick at on the end of my bed and was doing that disgusting thing dogs do - recycling it. It was probably very wrong of me, but I lay there with my fingers in my ears until she'd finished and then put the light on to survey the damage. Fortunately, she'd missed my quilt and top cover and only got the bottom sheet at the bottom left hand corner. As I'd only changed my bedding yesterday, my other bottom sheet is in the washing machine awaiting drying so, I ended up with a bowl of warm soapy water and an old sponge and did an emergency hand clean. Took ages to bet back to sleep.

Looks and feels like we may get more snow shortly. The clouds are very dark and low to the south.

But, better go bathe and then go shopping - It'll be grim in the shops I think but needs must.

Although no one can go back and make a brand new start, anyone can start from now and make a brand new ending.... life is a WIP.

AnW'sMum hope you have a wonderful birthday

Dippypud Happy birthday to you too

Snow lying deep enough here so plan is to do things mainly in the house and there is enough of it to do. Strictly to catch up on quite soon I think.

Hugs mumof2 - hope things get better soon.

Well I've put some clothes away, taken the recycling out and nearly emptied the DR table. I've also found a tub of presents I haven't wrapped yet so that's not good!
