    Morning all,
Had a pleasant evening out. No that' s a lie - it was rubbish. Snow started falling just after we got to the venue. Long journey home in the snow on horrendous roads and I had to drive cos DH had had a few to drink. Fortunately, he had only had a few so was a great help in telling me when not to brake and which gear to be in! This morning we have thick snow which means we can't drive over to Liverpool to see DM. We'll see what tomorrow brings weather wise, but I am dissappointed. Still better to be safe than sorry!
Ok - off to get coffee number 2 and put the WM on. Then to find my list which is buried somewhere under a pile of carp.....

Once again, I just want to send big hugs to everyone going through difficult times and say that I am thinking about you. Sometimes we go through carppy times but things do get better eventually .... you just have to hang in there. At least we can all share on here, it's not the same as face to face but I am always struck by how lovely it is that people look out for you on here; don't think you get many threads like this.
Please may I second this - I kept meaning to send messages to you all instead of just reading and running :o

The final of Strictly is on tonight isn't it so I'm looking forward to watching that .... or maybe I'm just a bit sad :o!
What's sad about it? I can't believe we have reached the finals - will seem so strange when it is over (you do watch It Takes Two during the week as well don't you?)

    Morning all

Hugs to those who need them - and those who don't just because.

Had a nice evening out last night. Italian meal and then drinks. Wasn't home too late as DD had said she'd pick me up if I called her before 11.30pm. I'm glad I took her up on her offer because it started to snow not long after we got back. It would have been difficult getting a cab then (and expensive!).

We've had about half an inch or so of snow which has settled on icy ground so it's quite treacherous out there according to the radio. I'm glad I did my shopping yesterday.

Today's task is my bedroom. Dratted dog stole an empty cardboard box from the recycling basket and has shredded it all over the bedroom floor ... ~rolls eyes~ (I do miss that smilie!)

    Morning all

I too had a nice time out last night, choose not to have any alcohol as we are out again tonight and have a lot to achieve today.

DS2 away to squash on this bike with instruction to be extra careful - he's on the pavements and it is only 1/2 mile.

    Plan:
    Get wm on
    Breakfast
    shower and dress
    clean shower room
DH to get tree decs down
get DH to get the tree in
little bit of wrapping (not started yet)
    decorate tree

Need to decide with we take DS3 to see the man in red later today or tomorrow.

No more snow here and none forcast so plans should not be affected.

  • hugs to all who need!

my back is sore and aunt flo isn't making it any easier - the best bit of my marathon shop yesterday was sitting down in Argos waiting for my number to be called!

I then had a bus journey home that took 45mins+ - it's less than two miles!

OH has done some tidying this morning - so i'll have to hunt to find everything! And he's put the Christmas tree in front of the longest radiator - where am I going to dry the washing for the next 2.5 weeks?

Off to sort more laundry! Oh joy!

Morning all - quite a bit of snow here, and it's only just stopped. Apparently our rubbish council haven't even gritted the roads despite the weatherforecast saying we'd be getting the snow, so Moon had a treacherous journey into work. I'm hoping to go out a bit later, as I need to get the last few Christmas bits, and also wanted to collect something from a freecycler. Fingers crossed they get out there with their gritters soon and clear the roads.

Well I'm off to get dressed, and then find myself something to eat (there goes my usual Saturday Starbucks breakfast :( ) - still, I suppose if the weather clears a bit later I can still get a coffee, or have it for lunch.

Safe travelling vibes for all out on the roads today, and for those trying to get to places by air.

See you all back on here again later.
