LL - I'm alright for fairydust at the moment....the snow has arrived so that's as much as I can cope with:rotfl:. Hugs xx

Fedupandskint - you and me both cleaning on a Friday. How cool are we?!?!:D (or is it sad!!:p).

Pigpen - waving right back at you!!

Dh did the big christmas food shop that I thought I'd done at the beginning of the month but I guess I didn't factor in that we'd have to eat through December!!

Went to see DS win student of the year in taekwondo. Incredibly proud of him. There were over 50 children in the groups so it's a massive achievement. A real tear in the eye moment.

House is starting to look a bit tidier. Not sure if I'm working tomorrow or not. I guess it depends how much snow we get and if clients can get here. Will just have to wait and see. Luckily DH got paid early for January so if I can't work it's not the end of the world. Must remember the early payment has to see us through to the END of january though. Scary thought. If I don't work at least i've plenty to catch up on in the house.

Just going to put a wash on and then bed for me.

    Hugs to everyone xx

Well flying didn't happen. I ended up babysitting my niece :D I don't do it very often so although it was unexpected it was nice. Lots of giggling and awwws from my colleagues when I popped into school with her to give out my Xmas cards and pick DD up :o

Haven't flown all day as its just disappeared but we'll be flying like mad tomorrow. It looks like X wont be coming to take DD out as there's currently 4" of snow outside and about the same up by his :D:eek: He's not sure about driving down here as he'll be in a hire car. He's said if he can't make it tomorrow he'll come Wednesday (he has plans Sunday) as he finishes work on Tuesday. He better show at some point otherwise I'll be having a poo Xmas - him & DD are fully responsible for my gifts this year, including doing a stocking for me :rotfl: At least there's plenty of things for us to do....

Right now I'm going to go and do some more washing up...it's going to take me a while :o

Hopefully when he sorts his head out you can work through things and he will appreciate you being there. Sending you loads of hugs x
Thanks... I'm not the most patient of people, so the waiting is going to be incredibly hard for me.

I've collected my mother, fied her hot chocolate and made us three hot water bottles each, so its now time for bed! Hope things look better in the morning.

Hex awww that's nice. I love mine. I don't wear it all the time but every little charm has had a lot of thought put into it.
    Greenbee thinking of you x
    Sexymouse well done!
Mudders well done to your DS
    artichoke that looks lovely!
LW :rotfl: I thought the same thing

Well a VERY productive day, we have 5 boxes of toys and 1 of books left to go through. DS1 did help too, he was so much more settled than he's been for a couple of weeks. He's not asleep yet but he is more settled. He's actually been very good in clearing out some old toys which is great as he's such a horder....not perfect but better than he was doing.

DS2s is at the stupidly named 'sleep over' with cubs, yes that's about the only thing they will not do! I dropped him off at 7.30 and need to collect at 9am tomorrow, when he'll be sent promptly to bed as I'm taking them to my sisters then panto with niece, nephew and my Mum/her DP on the evening so I could do without a tired moaning boy. Busy busy weekend as Sunday we're out with friends for our Christmas meet up thingy. I must remember to take my Mam a spare key tomorrow incase she can't get home when the weather is bad (we've only had a sprinkle of snow so feeling quite lucky) just found out she still has a key for the old house :rotfl:

I popped to Sainsbugs on the way home, I had a £10 off £50 to use, managed to get 2 more peoples presents finished in the clothing sale. I really need the presents to arrive that I have ordered but the updates on the news don't look promising. Estimated delivery on my Amazon order was Tuesday, last Tuesday. Bother! I can see me doing a shopping dash on Christmas eve. I do need something for DPs Dad and his brother and I need to pick up some vouchers from the castle, then I think I am close to being 'done' and just playing the waiting game.

I best get to bed, DS1s not asleep so will need to settle him first. (((hugs))) for you all x x x
One day I might be more organised...........

  • Think there must be something in the air ATM that's getting all these men.

And hugs to LW, vanilla and everyone else that needs it. When I worked in Gynae, my boss ran the colposcopy clinic. There were a surprisingly high number of young women with scary results, but in all my time there, only one young woman had a sad outcome, everyone else seemed to have all traces of changed cells removed successfully.

I had a period where I had to have 6 monthly smears - it was convenient but rather blushmaking, as I preferred the people I worked with to know me from the waist up :) After the first two being uncomfortable, all the others were fine, probably because I was resigned to it by then and totally relaxed.

Went to DD's school concert last night. It was very good, they have staff that teach classical, modern and jazz music, so the range was much easier to tolerate - I'm not one for the soprano stuff, it's too high and hurts my ears, and they do seem to have an inordinate number of children playing flute or violin.

However, found out that DD is the only [STRIKE]girl taking drum lessons[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]girl not doing classical orchestral pieces[/STRIKE]
female percussionist in the whole school.

She now has a new bunch of friends - the boys in the VI form who play bass, drums and electric guitar. :D

Oh well. Walked DD to the bus stop this morning after about 3 hours' sleep, and refusing to allow DD to leave the house until she had dressed ready for Ice Station Zebra.

Then staggered onto a bus to do some early shopping. To find that nobody was bothering to open before 10am. So I spent nothing [conveniently forgetting the McD double sausage and egg muffin, the large latte, the hash brown and the bacon & egg muffin - cough] and went home to bed.

Woke up to see copious white fluffy stuff falling outside and then started to panic because DD was nowhere to be seen and her phone was unavailable. She turned up 2 hours later.

So, other than dinner, the washing up and dishing slop up to splats, I have done nothing all day!
I could dream to wide extremes, I could do or die: I could yawn and be withdrawn and watch the world go by.

Well I can't sleep - DH woke me and then promptly went back to sleep and I've been awake since 3.00, so have come down to do a bit of knitting after lying in bed all this time wide awake. I hate just lying in bed; my mind is racing around and around so here I am.

Once again, I just want to send big hugs to everyone going through difficult times and say that I am thinking about you. Sometimes we go through carppy times but things do get better eventually .... you just have to hang in there. At least we can all share on here, it's not the same as face to face but I am always struck by how lovely it is that people look out for you on here; don't think you get many threads like this.

Flying wise, today I need to finish my ironing off and tonight I must wrap some more presents as don't want to be panicking. We're going to MIL on Wednesday until Friday (weather permitting) so it's not like I'll be able to do things on those days. The final of Strictly is on tonight isn't it so I'm looking forward to watching that .... or maybe I'm just a bit sad :o!

Oh, got the dog back and my credit card has only been bashed to the extent of £90 so not worth claiming on insurance. They made her sick straight after I left and copious amounts of chocolate were produced so she obviously hadn't long before eaten it which is major good news. Pip had 250g chocolate and for a dog her size 80g is toxic . She's come back with some meds including liquid charcoal which I have to put on her food but will be fine. Silly dog.

Going to knit a bit now and toddle back to bed a bit later on. Hope you're all sleeping well xx

  • Good morning mumof2 and anyone else who's daft enough to be up at this hour :D It's still dark, so the middle of the night in my book :p

DHis going to take the children to swim club - DD is driving our car on the road for the first time, so DH will be sticking on the L's

Hugs, sticks and congratulations as wanted :A

    Catch you all later
