No mate,
I buy cars direct from insurance companies that have had claims against them, Cat C and D's. If it's an easy enough repair on the cat D, ie replace bolt on panel, headlight or something simple then I fix it and sell it as a CAT D repaired, if its more than that or a heavy cat C they are sold as damaged repairables. I also buy none runners locally off ebay and break them to sell the parts to keep me busy. The shell is then scrapped in and the catalytic converters/batteries kept aside until I have a big enough stock to get a decent price on them.
Cheers

you do sell scrap then !!0 -
Gutbrod are you looking for an argument?
I never said I did or didn't sell scrap but for your reference I dont sell scrap. I sell cars and their parts. The metal whats left is weighed in and I am paid for its weight, same as the lead in batteries, and the precious metals in cats.
For items I sell I dictate the price and am also liable for any comebacks, guarantees etc. For metals that are weighed in they dictate the price I get and also the public couldnt buy these from me so not a sale as such......0 -
suited-aces Does the other poster actually sell scrap metal? No mate,

I can see where you are coming from.
Just like if two people were speaking and the subject of "payday" came up. One could say they get paid daily/weekly the other fortnightly.
To the outsider looking in you would assume that this meant they both worked their backsides off like me doing anything and everything to provide for their family and put food on the table, however I have often heard people who are on benefits stating that their "payday" is such a day of the week. This would be the day that they get their benefits not wages for working but yet still it is their pay day
So yes, I'll concede defeat to you. I do get money when I take metal that has no resale value to the general public, ergo I am paid for it, so technically you could say I sell it.0 -
mark him down as a neg and low dsr when the parcel comes
Don't be absurd - you can't  (edit well actually I guess there is nothing to physically stop you neg feedbacking someone because their postal address starts with an odd number - but that isn't the point of feedback) neg feed someone for high postage costs - feel free to mark down the postage price give them 1 star on that or something. But some people here seem to have no clue!
The purpose of neg feedback is to alert people (and ebay) to frauds.
If you neg feedback people because they shipped an item to you at the price you agreed to pay then there is something seriously wrong with you.
(That doesn't mean don't give neg feedback for being rude - but it sounds like you seriously need to lighten up a bit). There is no intelligent life out there ... ask any goldfish!0 -

You have an interesting, but very personal, idea of what fb should be about.
This is what ebay says:
Why leave Feedback?
Leaving honest comments gives members a good idea of what to expect when dealing with other members. Leaving Feedback is also a way to increase the goodwill of the eBay community by expressing your appreciation for a job well done. Finally, if you are a buyer, you can help spread the word about a seller you like, and if you are a seller, you can help recognise and reward loyal customers, which encourages them to buy from you again.

I've seen neg fb given for:
-expensive postage
-bad packaging
-wrong size/colour/model purchased by seller
-rude delivery man
-Royal Mail taking too long to deliver
-seller leaving their website address on the feedback given to buyers
-seller being rude
- seller not responding to emails
-item being as described (e.g. a feature they did not like)0 -

The seller has been sending abusive replies to the buyer - It may not be fraud but to have an abusive seller is not a good exprience with ebay and a neg should show that or if a seller became rude to you and call you all sorts would you leave postive feedbackNeeding to lose weight start date 26 December 2011 current loss 60 pound Down.
