I'm not normally sympathetic towards people who parked badly, but in this case, I feel the OP has been hard done by and his PCN has more holes than a swiss cheese.
If the offence code doesn't match the offence, then you have a procedural impropriety. If the offence description does not match the offence or the manner in which your car was parked, then you should take evidence (photos etc) and ask for the case to be heard by a court. Plead not guilty if you are certain the contravention did not occur. It will be for the prosecution to prove that an obstruction was caused (they should show the effect it had) and that it was unnecessary (that you had an alternative that had less effect).
I'm puzzled as to why you think you can't appeal this ticket. Did you just scan through the ticket for the word "appeal"? What you're looking for is the section where you request that it be dealt with by a court. You should fill in the necessary section and send it off within the prescribed time limits (usually 28 days).
If you post photos of the scene here, we can advise in more detail, but my gut feeling so far is that you should fight this. The two possible offences you have mentioned do not need to be declared to your insurance company.0 -

Because the OP said it was a police ticket.
They either accept it or ask for the matter to be heard in court.
So it's not an appeal is it?0 -

Do you have any idea how insurance works?
In fact do you even drive?
Yes I do drive, as you well know
However (touch wood) i've never had to claim on my insurance or anyone elses, hence my request for clarification in the matter above.
Matter has been cleared up now though. Thank you. :T0 -
I don't understand why an fpn says parking within 20m of a junction when no such offence actually exists, 20m is a huge distance and surely cannot hold up in a magistrates court if it goes there.Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -

The OP posted on pepipoo seems the 20 metres is more like 4m to 5m.
