Thank you for all your comments and parental advice. Im sorry but Im not going to get into when he will have it etc, what I asked was if anyone had any experience of the phone (thank you Sublime). I trust all of you who commented on whether he should have the phone or not all have experience of having a 7 year old at home with you recent years, Im a great believer in never judging till you have walked 1000 footsteps in that persons shoes. :-) Fit Likeee!:j0

TBH I suggested unsuring it more to point out that it wasn't going to last long in the hands of a 7 year old!! and i'ts NOT jst a £25 quid phone...top ups or a contract are going to bump up the price. if he only wants it for games and a camera why not buy a cheap hand held game and a kids camera??glider3560 wrote: »OP says it costs £25 - hardly worth insuring.Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

i have a seven year old so i can comment and he will not be getting a phone even though he has asked as i dont think its suitable plus he doesent need it
obviously what you do with your child is up to u but again a 7 year old doesent need a phone it will just become a glorified toyReplies to posts are always welcome, If I have made a mistake in the post, I am human, tell me nicely and it will be corrected. If your reply cannot be nice, has an underlying issue, or you believe that you are God, please post in another forum. Thank you0 -

Yes, I do have recent experience of having a child at home."If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -

Yeah...cos it was ONLY Sublime who offered experience of the phone...
Geeze, no gratitude!!morty_007 wrote:having said that the LG cookie is a nice phone. Its going to get battered very quickly though. It's not made of particularly tough stuff in my experience. Once dropped it marks and dents. INSURE it so that if it goes wrong it's not been an expensive venture.
And for the record, even at 11 the child in our house won't be getting a phone this year either.Good Enough Club member number 27(2) AND I got me a stalkee!

Have some commons sense.
Would you sit your child in your car doing 60 MPH.

I also teach thirty 7 year olds as my day job. I know the esafety ramifications of young children using mobile phones as I have been on various esafety training courses and investigated the area as part of my MA degree.'The journey home, is never too far...'
