Hi .I bought a lap top off the above company last week as a present for my wife for Christmas. Was sent an email to say that the lap top would turn up between Monday to Friday.ANY WAY TURNS UP ON SATURDAY:mad: AND I'M AT WORK SO MY WIFE HAS TO SIGN FOR THE PARCEL:eek:.WHEN I GET HOME MY WIFE SAYS I'M SORRY BUT I HAD TO SIGN FOR A PARCEL FOR YOU .I'm thinking OK that's no problem and then my wife tells me that the box has Toshiba portable computer all over it:mad:. End of surprise for my wife's Christmas present:(. I was fuming and got in touch with ebuyer .com to tell them what had happened. The guy then proceeds to tell me that there's nothing wrong with what they're doing and they always send out parcels like this .So I say mate it's Christmas don't you realize that most of your goods you sell at this time of year are probably going to be for Christmas presents and the people that sign for them will see what's in the box. That's where the guy totally lost interest and said that he would pass me over to his supervisor but would be told the same thing which was they do not send out the goods in plain brown boxes.I can send the lap top back but I now have to pay the post.So the up shot of this is I'm fuming that a company this big can do this .Why don't they say on their website that the items will be sent out in the manufacturer's box with the item's name on the outside. How hard would that be ?. I will never buy from this company again .Also if you need to phone them you have to pay 10p a minute on their 0871 number which first takes about 25 Min's to even get to the guy you need to talk to . Then all you get is a load of BULL ****. People have a happy Christmas and DO NOT BUY YOUR PRESENTS FROM EBUYER.COM. or you will end up like me.

Often goods come direct from suppliers usually with logo embezzled on it. In future might be wise using a company that provides gift wrap service some do at a cost. Ebuyer are just box shifters they provide little service in exchange for competitive pricing0

You get very little service from ebuyer you always have thats why they are so cheap
When I said "Often goods come direct from suppliers" I meant it may have come direct from Toshiba. Sometimes if you order goods from some companies they offer a gift wrapped service at a cost few and far between companies do this especially technology companies.
In fairness I have bought many items over the net and often it comes with the box in wit manufacturers label on it, its becoming quiet common.
One way to avoid this is you sometimes buy multiple items and they have all of the products in stock they might out stuff in a large box. The bigger the item the more chance it comes in manufacturers box0 -
Sounds like you used the super saver delivery option?
If it was such a big deal you should have used the next day delivery option to ensure delivery when you were in.
I have used ebuyer for years and have never had a problem. Sounds like you need to calm down a bit and let your wife enjoy her new laptop come christmas day.
Worst things are happening in this world than ebuyer not wrapping a parcel up!Know the difference between what you WANT and what you NEED. :T0 -
