It's really not unusal for goods to be sent in branded boxes, especially items like laptops, TVs, DVD players etc etc. Manufacturers use it as free advertising. Many companies are suffering delays in deliveries due to the snow in the UK - even if you don't live in an area directly affected (like me), delivereis can still be delayed depending on the hub-route and location of the despatch warehouse.
Perhaps in hindsight it might have been prudent to have the item delivered to another address (friend, family, office etc). I appreciate that it is extremely frustrating as you wanted to surprise your wife, but put in perspective, there are perhaps bigger things in the world to worry about - sometimes it's very easy to forget what the spirit of Christmas is really about.Feb 2015 NSD Challenge 8/12JAN NSD 11/16

You should have asked them to put it in a plain box, if it wasn't obvious from their website.
Anyway, been using ebuyer for years, about 25-30 orders, and have had 1 problem which they sorted out next day, and gave me a free next-day delivery code.
I don't think you'll get many folk jumping on your bandwagon!Hope over Fear. #VoteYes0 -

Not every item they sell is going to be a Christmas present. I've ordered a few bits and pieces for myself as I usually do over Xmas I don't care what box it arrives in.
Plus online retailers like Amazon are trying to decrease the amount of packaging they use so expect more stuff to arrive in the manufacturers boxes.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Perhaps.. but who pays for the boxes? Customers do...
You can't complain that they did everything they said they would - they never said the items WOULD come in a plain box, so why expect that they will?Nothing I say represents any past, present or future employer.0
