Hello All
Sorry not been on here in ages, but very pleased to report that our mortgage is now below £10,000. Today it stands at £9,654. Really, really pleased to have reached our target for the year. We will continue over paying by the same amount until the year end then have a think about what to do next.

Hi everyone,
Well, I haven't posted in a while and I seem to have totally lost my way after a cracking start. I've had 3 rubbish months in a row which have kicked me firmly off track but I'm going to fix it. I've had alot of big expenses in one go.(Car tax, MOT, Insurance, home insurance, several birthdays and a new front door!) Still have a couple of big expenses to go but I'm determined to reach my target.
I've calculated that I will need to overpay by around £780 a month which is going to be tough but should be achieveable. I just need to stop wasting money! So as of 1st Aug, I'm starting a full spending diary so I can track everything which will make me think through my spending decisions .... so far so good.
On a lighter note, I have just received a pay rise so that should kick in next monthand I received some free shares last month. I had to pay tax on them up front which cost quite a bit but the value is rising quickly at the moment so I have them to sell if I need to and they should get me about £600 if I decide to sell to help reach my target.

Morning all!
No 173 reporting in with July's OP figure of £743.57 - bringing my ytd figure to £5402.85 against my target of £5k - so I suppose I should increase my target now..... perhaps to £7.5k OPs for the year? Gives me 5 months to OP just over another £2k - should be do-able... ;-)I am the master of my fate; I am the captain of my soulRepaid mtge early (orig 11/25) 01/09 £124616 01/11 £89873 01/13 £52546 01/15 £12133 07/15 £NILNet sales 2024: £200 -

Hi all,
Haven't been on this thread for a little while, as I am really struggling to meet my target this year. I have just seen how well everyone is doing and am trying to get some inspiration backgoing to dig my mortgage piggy back out.
Hopefully if we can get this boiler loan paid off this year, next year will be the big one to get ready for remortgaging in 2013.
Anyway; just wanted to say well done to everyone!2022 Target - Reduce new mortgage balance after house move - Part 1 (Ported) Starting balance £39,982.12 currently £37,242.19 Part 2 Starting Balance £101,997.88 currently £96,197.38 (as at 19/04/2022)0 -
Forgot to update on the first of the month, even though the overpayment transfer occurs on the first. Managed to grab 10 minutes spare, so here's the update what includes August:

May: 170.83 / 854.17 / 41.67% / 200.00 / 662.01 (192.16) / 32.29%
June: 170.83 / 1,025.00 / 50.00% / 200.00 / 862.01 (162.99) / 42.05%
July: 170.83 / 1,195.83 / 58.33% / 200.00 / 1,062.01 (133.82) / 51.81%
August: 170.83 / 1,366.67 / 66.67% / 150.00 / 1,212.01 (154.66) / 59.12%
Total overpaid: £1,212.01
Due to a short break at the end of July that ate up a considerable amount of petrol, credit card bills looming etc, I decided to pay slightly less at £150 this month. Very slightly behind schedule, but still four months to make amends.
ISA interest due at the end of August, and as I'm topping up the ISAs with mortgage money, I'll probably post another update to reflect the amounts received, possibly also with a small top up to round the figures off
