No 128 - £100 OP made today
and .............
the smallest part of my mortgage is now paid off :j
It was only a few thousand to start with but it means I now have an extra £12.54 a month to throw at the next bit!
Well done all on the OPs so far :T"There's only one way of life and that's your own" - Levellers

MFW 2011 #19
Overpayments for April are:- £1,550.
I'm at the halfway point of this year's target, so if things continue this way, I may increase my target.
Hpoing to raise another £150 ish so that I can have the mortgage starting with a £52,XXX.
I've sold an old AV stand to a bloke on an AV Forum and he has promised to pay within a fortnight (£75).
I've asked for a £10 non-refundable deposit (which was received last week).
Hope I can scrape together a bit more from my eBay sales over the next fortnight (shoes x2, trainers x1 and a couple of handbags and an old printer).0 -

how do you plan to achieve it?
Hi Someday,
Few reasons really, firstly my constancy job has been extended from June to near x-mas so that will be a fair chunk (3k takehome per month more than I had planned for), and on top of that I have also started repaying a loan I made to my company so I am hoping (work cashflow permitting) to be able to make the target.
I've also planned to not make any major changes to the new house (windows, garage conversion etc) and instead to make a bit push to have my mortgage paid off as fast as is possible (19.5k is my 10% annual limit).
Regards
LP

Late checking in this month as just back from a well earned holiday in Olhos D'Agua on the Algarve. Superb. Payed £938 this month an overpayment of £500, all against a further advance was 3 year term now after overpayments is down to 2 years. If I can keep going at this rate my 2011 target will easily be beaten.
However, I won't revise my target yet. Who knows what the year will throw at me.
What won't change is the desire to be again mortgage free again, although I only enjoyed it for 2 months, before I need a new funding source.
Keep at it folks, you know it makes sense. :TMortgage free

:j Just put in a big (for me) OP of £4k so my £100,000 mortgage is now a trifling £88231.33! That completely blitz's my personal quest to knock £10k of it in the first year. Still got another 5 months or so before Sept rolls around and I have to draw a line under the year (and start my OP's for the 'new' year).
