    Just got the same email.

I wonder if they have any legal obligation to complete the order?

    no they dont.
IIRC Amazon T&Cs state you need the dispatch email for an acceptance of the order
however im sure we will get plenty of threads on it

You made a purchase from us on Amazon on Friday evening which unfortunately has a problem with it.
We monitor all our sales and trends which allows us to be competitive and helps us to source the correct products. This morning we noticed that we had sold a large quantity of Gazillion bubbles priced at £3.99. When we investigated this we found the item is linked to completely different Mega Bloks item on Amazon.
We are currently investigating the cause of this with Amazon.
As a result of this error a forum member from money saving expert put the link on the forum which resulted in a sellout of the product. We would normally be delighted that moneysavingexpert has mentioned any of our products but feel we need to let you know that this is an error and we do not stock the Mega Bloks product that it is linking too. We will of course refund you in full.
We apologise sincerely and would like to offer a 10% discount code to compensate for any disappointment that this has caused . Please accept our apologies once again.

To receive your code please reply to this email.

Your order contained the following items:

Interesting that the e-mail states "They do not stock this item" however i have a screen shot from their own independent website which showed they was selling the product [Which has now been removed], They are also advertising the pink version on their website too -

    http://www.xs-stock.co.uk/products/halbvp004-new-mega-bloks-pink-fill-and-dump-wagon-with-blocks.html

Going to battle on this one - If they had said they was not prepared to sell it for £3.99 then fair enough but to lie and say they don't stock the item when i have proof they did/do is not on - Just my opinion of course;)

They have the pink one on their eBay stall too

and they were selling the one on Amazon until today

  • So in the original confirmation e-mail it states -
For items purchased from third parties in Marketplace, this e-mail confirms the completion of your contract to purchase those items.

Seeing as we have a contract with them do they not have a contract to supply the goods now that payment has been taken?

So a complete and utter lie in the e-mail then stating that they do not stock the product! Thanks for the links - Good evidence to challenge them with along with some screenshots i have!:D
