Shees, do you NOT listen, I NEVER asked for credit! They cannot run a credit check without permission, I never gave Jacamo permission! and certainly did not give PremierMan permission this time!

We will make searches about you at credit reference agencies who will supply us with credit information, as well as information from the Electoral Register.

You are a criminal (and criminally supid) and I for one hope that you end up in Court.

  • I have just had the exact same problem with them for a £19 pair of insoles from their Fiftyplus website.

Although I am earning a relatively decent amount of money, past financial mismanagement issues mean that unfortunately I do have a poor credit rating and am working hard to repair it so for them to perform a credit check without making it clear they were going to do so is unacceptable as it only harms my credit score!

I have reported them to the Financial Ombudsman for this and also my solicitor who is assisting me with various other matters relating to my credit rating.

Also, when I placed the order, there was nowhere online that gave me the option to decline and pay by debit or credit card. I had to follow through with their process and it was never made clear that a credit check was being performed.

The stupid thing is it wasn't a sofa, or a car - it was a pair of bloody shoe inserts worth £19!!!
  • It is not a credit check, it is an unrecorded enquiry to check your identity. This has no bearing on your credit worthyness.

last month Jacamo ran a comp to win £500 to spend - to eneter you had to set up an account which would have involved a credit check. Needless to ay I did not enter.
