Unless they edited them after I complained and my cache needs clearing...

also no way to opt in/out, here is the sign up form

also the image below shows the difference between credit and non credit accounts, (the top half is mine the bottom half is a random account i made - funny they gave a john doe £150 credit LOL) so looking at this pic, you can see i DONT have a credit account, so why did they credit check me?!

OK I have just cleared my internet cache and I see the new terms etc now, which means they have changed them during the course of today... Luckily I printed a copy before they changed them.

Well I appreciate everyone saying it's 1st Line of t&c but that's not what shows on mine! I even printed it, what browsers are you using? I'm on internet explorer (latest version)

What I pasted in my post is what it says on my screen...

    Firefox.

Thats the one you click decline to be offered the no credit account, after reading the T+C's just above on a seperate page, must say the first screenshot is odd!

Yeah ive figured out how to decline credit account now LOL - they dont make it easy... as for the t&c I think they edited it today, because I cleared my cache yesterday (09/12) but was still showing the T&C as shown in above pic, but when I deleted my cache now the new version you have been quoting showed up...

    Well...
Thank you all for your help, it seems they changed the terms etc today at some point, so still means when I signed up there was nothing in the terms about credit checks, I will try to get their search removed from my credit file again tomorrow, will let you know how I get on :-)

I placed an order and used the credit they had given me, and never paid them back, they sent many nasty letters which I used to reply to saying, "if you can provide a copy of the credit agreement I signed I would pay" eventually they sent me the agreement but of course it was not signed by me, So I never paid eventually they gave up asking for the money.

Sounds as if they might be quite wise to do a check given there are customers out there who take goods and don't want to pay for them.

So bascially youve have done the company over once and now your applying for another account to do them over again.

I dont care what you say it clearly states you will be credit checked when making your application they have not changed anything.

No, they did not change their terms "sometime today (or yesterday)".

Here is a cache page dated 3 December 2010.

So if you had a credit account and used it , what made you think you didn't have to pay? You should pay and for not I hope you never get credit again as your bang out of order.

Dont jump to assumptions you moron, I paid cash for my order. I only noticed it was the same company after I had placed the order.
