  • Is the Royal Mail delivering Friday 24th?

Just missing 1 item after todays delivery.

I was told at our post office they are using tomorrow as A Saturday so only working morning
Lifes a !!!!! and then you marry one:D
  • I find it strange that the milkman can deliver my milk everyday with no problem. Yet the Post office can only manage to deliver mail twice in a week in Milton Keynes. As for getting parcels I have not seen a Royal mail van in our street since last thursday. I still waiting for lots of parcels from early december. As for Royal mail stating on thier website that we will be carrying out evening delivelies thats a con not one in my area!

since when were Saturdays morning only?
    every area is different
in my old office they recouped 30 minutes that was worked over during the week
    so thats a 1.30pm finish
so at a minimum i would expect staff to work a standard day.
    plenty will be doing OT
there was an RM van on delivery when i went to the nursery @ 5pm today
  • RM&PF are doing Sundays down here to catch up.
We still get first class next day...

Sunday deliveries in December are the norm in RM
so its not a catch up exercise as much as a try and cope with what you have exercise

anyway.the next day guarantee isnt in place at the moment.
i woulds expect a DO to deliver any SD items they received tomorrow regardless of what hours are being worked

yes, heard a rumour they may be prioritising packets over mail tomorrow

This is what my postie said this morning when I asked him. Although if it is a half day they aren't really going to get many delivered. Should have been prioritising packets ALL week. And if I miss them SHOULD they attempt to deliver then I won't be able to collect later as they'll be shut! (Off to set my alarm for 7am..)
