Hiya hun, it sounds as if its ur problem, however, it if does become an issue for your darling child, then I think that is the time you become a tad more proactive.
Good luck, and god bless xBe happy, it's the greatest wealth0 -
have a word with gp if concerned
but also my brother had larger ears and he has grown into them with nothing changed
dont worry about bullying, kids are kids, if its not one thing its another.
pinning back ears is an options, but remember your child is young and growing. dont worry:A VK :A0 -
My nephew was born with one of his ears folded over - and when it uncurled it stuck out - only the one, the other was fine. It was so cute! They got offered an op to pin it back when he was a bit older, and they considered it, but never went ahead with it. We just got used to it and it never seemed to bother him. I know children noticed it but he wasn't bullied because if it. Teased a bit, but as I said, it didn't bother him. I still think it's quirky and he has children of his own now.
My cousin's husband said that the first thing he looked for when his children were born, was to see if they had sticky out ears! Having had 2 children myself born with a bit more serious abnormalities, I think there are a lot worse things to have than sticky out ears. But yes, I know some children can be cruel, but if it were me i'd not make an issue out of it and see if it bothers him first.
I forgot to add, my dad had one of his ears amputated. I bet he'd love to have a sticky out one as he has to keep his glasses on with an elastic strap.0 -
My yongest boy also has this problem! But although I worry about it privately I've never breathed a word to him. Yes he looked a bit ridculous in his school play on Thursday, but then so did half the cast! My boy is a confident, happy, little boy who will just shrug things off in years to come - yes he is very sensitive too, but I'm trying to teach both my boys that Mummy loves them both and as long as they try hard and are good boys they will go far x
See what life throws at him and just be there for him as he gets older.Me, OH, grown DS, (other DS left home) and Mum (coming up 80!). Considering foster parenting. Hints and tips on saving £ always well received. Xx
March 1st week £80 includes a new dog bed though £63 was food etc for the week.0 -
I am 42 now.
My parents brought me up to have little self esteem.
If I looked like Richard Gere I would still be maimed.
I say, if you bring him up to have self confidence and self esteem, any physical faux pas will have little consequence.
He can always have an operation later in life if he is bothered but look at Martin Clunes, yes his ears stick out but who cares, it is his spirit which shines through and shows us the beautiful person he is.0 -
I really felt for you when reading your post as although my children dont have anything in particular that i worry they will be bullied for i sometimes get a horrible feeling in my tummy when i think about the future and them being a little older, at nursery/school and me not being able to protect them from everything and everyone. You know what they say kids can be mean! You just have to make sure that you encourage your son to be comfortable and confident in his own skin.
Oh and my OH has sticky out ears and they never did him any harm0
