Just looked at my emails & have registered my slot on 20th for the 22nd in the last 2 years

i have just spoken to next and the lady told me that the vipsale is on boxing day this year........don't know if i believe her as it has always been before xmas.....does anyone have any info on this.

Don't believe her!!! Every year the VIP sale starts earlier than the main shop sale. Some are lucky to get a slot, some aren't (me included). ..... And boy does it break your heart reading what you've missed!!!

My advice is ......... Keep your eyes peeled on your emails you may get an early invite.

I am gutted. I have always been quite lucky with VIP invites.

Earlier in the year I contacted NEXT about stopping the delivery of Directories to me because of the waste when I shop online. So to hear that receiving one is part of the requirements for getting an invite is very annoying!

I contacted customer services to see if I could receive Directories again ready for the Winter Sale, but they said I was too late to receive the Winter Directory so wouldn't get a sale invite.

Can't believe they would have such a ridiculous rule. I shop as much as the next person with them, but just didn't see the point in wasting all of those massive Directories.

Big thumbs down to NEXT from me on this one .

Couldn't agree more. It must be a new rule too as in 2009 I got a summer sale invite but then nothing at all for 2010. They told me by email that they could send me a directory if I wanted an invite!!

I must say that having to have a directory isn't very 'green', I hardly use mine. I did call to cancel them once but the request obviously didn't get through the system as I still get them, guess that was lucky for me.

Hmm, I'm confused by the directory rule, as I haven't had a book for about 2 years, but I still have had a VIP invite to everysale, including the midseason 2 day ones.

We shall have to wait and see!

Rather interesting - I got an email from next headed 'Important Information' and it said this:

DON'T MISS OUT THIS CHRISTMAS!

To ensure your orders arrive for Christmas please order before the following dates*

UK courier deliveries: order by 6pm Wednesday 22nd December
Other UK carriers: order by 9pm Thursday 16th December

Northern Ireland deliveries: order by 7pm Monday 20th December

Flowers delivery: order by 12 Noon Thursday 23rd December

Note the blue bit in bold font I have highlighted. I have never turned emails off but this looks like why I have never got any VIP invites, please check your accounts and ensure that the box is ticked. I am pretty sure it was but I signed up again on both screens anyway. Double check.

The VIP sale generally starts when the normal customer ordering finishes so 6pm on the 22nd will be the first slots.

Scottish stores are open on boxing day. I know as my other half works there and has done for 5 years, sadly he;s working this boxing day too
