So, in effect, you are more or less paying for the privilege of being selected for the VIP sale.
I shop loads at Next and have plenty of credit, however, I refuse to have a directory due to (a) the price, and (b) the sheer SIZE of it - it's MASSIVE!
Sadly there will be no VIP invite for me if this is a requirement
Same here. I won't pay for the directory when i can view the same items online for free? Then pay interest every month on the £3.75 too.0 -

Thanks Clare, thats rather sneaky of them as I pay by Direct Debit so would never have gone to that page. :AComping from May 2012
Thank you to all that post & contribute, I think you are wonderful, I could not achieve without your help0 -
Yep, I found that on the Make Payment page too. I had a 0 balance but I've got to order some school uniform so I can do that now and hen I have bought something.
I will stop the catalogues after the sale though as I never get them either, I have nowhere to keep it. I find it bizarre that they want you to go paperless yet you HAVE to have a catalogue if you want to get anything from the sale.
I got some stuff in the last sale and I have to admit, it all screamed 'what were you thinking', LOL and I ended up with one pair of crocs for my son. Hopefully I'll have more luck this time.0 -

I just rang Next re a query I had anyway; I had £11 credit on my account due to a payment I made then a subsequent return/refund earlier this year. I figured I'd use the £11 in the sales, so just went online to check and saw that the account balance was reduced to zero in June following an 'account adjustment'. Did anyone know that Next do this if your account remains unused for 84 days? Needless to say I wanted to know where my money was! The person I spoke to assured me that he can reactivate the account and the money will be put back, which is fine, but at the same time I wanted to use my 'disgruntlement' with the money as a reason to get my 'interest registered' for the VIP sale without having to agree to receiving a directory and a delivery charge with it. He informed me that it's not possible to 'register interest' - as long as the account has been used in the last year, and Next have your email address, there is a chance you will be selected for the sale. He said this was totally automatic and he would not know who was included until the time the system makes the selection.
Therefore, I'm not sure it's worth signing up to receive the directory? Does anyone think that registering interest via this button will actually make it more likely to be selected for a slot? In several years of ordering from the Next Directory, I have never received a VIP slot and would love one!0 -
i dont think thats true i order loads from next (5 kids) and have one every time, my friend who orders infrequently only seeems to get one when shes done some big orders, i think they base it more on that, saying that the last one was pants and half the stuff never even arrived, this happens a lot with vip sale stuff that even if u can make an odder without it crashing, find it easier to drag my bum out AT 5 am get a lot more then x5 kids..1 hubby...1 dog..3 rabbits and a goldfish...yep ours is a Madhouse
:smileyhea We love Disney...

I signed in, clicked on the 'make a payment tab' and there was a little pink ad on the bottom left-hand corner, clicked that and then I had the option to sign up for the vip sale. Does anyone know when the slots are being released?0
