Well if I had a RenaultSport Megane I would have wrote that, instead I wrote Renault Megane Sport.

No need to be so snotty about it 'badged as a sport' it IS a sport, thank you very much.

    LOL i wasn't being snotty

i was merely stating yours is a megane badged as a sport

punto 1.2's get badged as a sport but doesn't make them sporty

no need to take offense, i never intended any to you

We'll have to agree to dissagree

IMO any manufacturer can slap a sport badge on. doesn't mean it's sporty

have you seen my car? no.

if i wanted a 'normal' megane i would have got one, i am not so stupid that i would pay more for a car 'badged' as a sport that was a normal model with a sports badged blu-tacked on

I think your getting me all wrong

I'm not trying to deflate the fact you believe have a sport version of the car

To me a proper megane/clio sport is the RenaultSport version. They are pedigree motors and are highly tuned/kitted out, not run of the mill factory models.

Renault badge a lot of their cars as a sport. Hell my Laguna 1.9dci says it's a Laguna 1.9dci sport. There isn't anything sporty about a diesel i can tell you.

what engine size does your megane have if you don't mind me asking

    LOL !!!

    A) I wasn't looking for an argument, i was pointing out a mere fact.
    B) I've seen and driven enough Megane's to know there's nothing sporty about them
    C) i'm not a numpty either

Why get so worked up over a car?

It's great you believe Renault have sold you a car you believe is sportier than most megane's. But in truth it isn't. It may have different coloured seats or have powered by fairy dust stickers on it, but in reality is it isn't sportier than the next megane.

    It's like BMW

They sell M3 BMW's they are the sportier breed of BMW. Just because a 3.25 has "sport" written on it doesn't mean it's gonna take on it's bigger brother the M3

And for your information my OH used to work in a Renault dealership hence why i was able to drive most Renaults and went on to own some nice motors too

A standard factory car regardless of it's features or badges will only be sportier than the others if it's engine/chassis/suspension is completely different. Your car i'm afraid whether you like it or not shares all it's guts from the same megane whether it's marked up as a dynamique or a billabong

Renaultsport versions are proper sport versions of Renault hense the RenaultSport name, better quality, different set up, and higher cost. Also they are built in a different factory completely from regular Renault models

    1. you don't know where i bought it from

why do you talk as if your word is gospel? and make stereotypical assumptions that i have 'powered by fairydust on it'....i am well aware fairydust doesn't power cars :)
