Pearl of Wisdom:
"to get out of debt stop debting and learn to live within your means"
That's the gist of it really. It sounds obvious but it is actually really hard to get your head around, but once you do you're on the home straight.
Good luck everyone!

Huge thanks to Martin for inventing this site, because without all the inspiring stories on the DFW I wouldn't have believed it was possible to clear such huge debt so quickly.

Be harsh with yourself. Really harsh. Nothing beats the feeling of knowing you can walk into a shop and buy something, with cash, that's totally yours. (the funny thing is I've completely gone off shopping now I'm not pretending that Barclaycard are buying it for me). Don’t reason your way into purchasing things / booking holidays with the ‘I deserve it’ philosophy. Look where that got me!
