Debt Free Date- 23rd October 2008 (13 days after my 22nd Birthday- my aim was by Christmas)

People on here are always willing to help
Never Give up
The is always a solution
Think before you purchase- do you really need it??
I have found that if you really want something- i mean really want it- it will feel so much better and mean so much more if you save hard for it!

Huge thanks to Martin for inventing this site, because without all the inspiring stories on the DFW I wouldn't have believed it was possible to clear such huge debt so quickly.

Be harsh with yourself. Really harsh. Nothing beats the feeling of knowing you can walk into a shop and buy something, with cash, that's totally yours. (the funny thing is I've completely gone off shopping now I'm not pretending that Barclaycard are buying it for me). Don’t reason your way into purchasing things / booking holidays with the ‘I deserve it’ philosophy. Look where that got me!

Flickered on about August 2006, finally shone brightly New Year 2007.

£7298.17, Made up of 3 loans, a credit card, 2 overdrafts and a loan from my parents.

17th January 2009

The longest journey starts with the smallest step When you have a huge debt, paying an extra £10 a month may not seem like much, but it all adds up, keep chipping away at it.
