    No point in worrying.
Plan as best you can, and save any evidence that may be of use to your later claim.

Err yes! My particular case to be honest!

Over the past 12 months I have gone from LRM, then to LRM & LRC and now MRC & LRM all indef.

Now having discussions with the DM, and have arranged another GP report that has been asked for by the DM (2nd one in 7 months). GP is waiting for the report and I will be seeing him to go through the form.

I am happy with care, but just need the mobility to go up to high!

All of those decisions have been backed up with medical evidence that has been selected to provide the best result.

If someone said to me if it was true that I needed care throughout the day and that I needed supervision to go outdoors I would laugh at them!

Yet I have managed to manipulate the DWP into giving me the benefit that means that I do have those needs.

I live a full life, yes I have an illness, but I cope with it easilly and certainly don't have care needs or mobility problems.

Of course you can manipulate the system, you just have to learn and understand how the system works!
Would I give you my name - not likely!

Will I be found out - never, I make sure that I keep my medical history relevant to what the DWP are looking for.
If I need a psychiatric report, I make sure that the report covers what the DWP want to see.

If I am reported, I have the medical evidence to disprove any allegation.

AND YOU HAVE THE AUDACITY TO KNOCK PEOPLE DOWN IN ANOTHER THREAD FOR MAKING GENUINE DLA CLAIMS!!!!

    SHAME ON YOU !!!!! :mad::mad::mad::mad:

If you are investigated, you will be watched. When what you do doesn't match up to the medical reports, they will be dismissed as irrelevant.

Could someone offer me some advice? I have BPD, a severe and rather serious mental health condition. I do work part time, and get both higher rate mobility and higher rate care allowance on DLA. I've tried without success to try and find something reassuring that would be of help or relevance to myself, and just don't seem to be finding it! Could one of you lovely forumites please give me advice, or at least point me in the right direction? If I was to lose my mobility car, I wouldn't be able to work and give back to the country, which I'm just not happy about!

And what you have said is true sadly. Many people like yourself manipulate the Benefit and your disability you may or may not have. And this is what ruin's the whole system for those who genuinely need to claim, and are entitled too. To sit there so smug, and think you'll never get caught - well you will!

It makes me angry I had to fight for our Daughter we won our tribunal and she is entitled fully...and many like yourself know what your doing and make it ridiculously harder for the genuine claimants.

I would contact your nearest welfare rights advisory group....if you google that with your town it should if any bring up a list. Go and have a chat with them...they should be able to help you and will no doubt help with the paperwork too when it comes through. Good Luck

Thankyou Nettie, I'll get on it first thing tomorrow!
  • It just makes everything very frustrating and worrying, i can walk, i DO walk but i cant walk without pain. the pain i get is simular to lactic acidin your mucsles after a work out, i wont let it stop me from walking when i walk you may not evern notice i have a problem. but the fact of the matter is im in pain when i walk. this becomes very frustrating when you walk into a medicle and they ask how far you can walk, and reply with i just seen you walk into the room just now without crying out in agony and collapsing on the floor screaming like a strangled cat.

I feel like a criminal when i go for a medicle becuse my disabilty is not so visably noticleable. i walk in and smile, they assume i must be fine and try their best to twist everything i say when they write their report.

How I understand what you are saying. My husband has had 4 laminectomy. This has resulted in him finding it very painful to walk or stand for any length of time. He doesn't have a limp. Daily his pain is down his leg to his knee, if he overdoes it the pain goes down to his foot. We have had to adapt his chair, he can only drive certain cars and has spent 4 years (college and univeristy) retraining so he can now work (previously an ambulance technician). I get so fed up of people making the assumption that because he doesn't have crutches or appear to have difficulty walking that people presume he doesn't have a problem. Watch him carefully and you can see the way he walks is stilted. Holidays is bliss because the heat helps a bit, but we can't go for romantic strolls, have to plan where we go for parking etc.
He takes so much medication to manage the pain we need a carrier bag to collect it.
All these changes are good if it saves the taxpayer money (yes he is also a tax payer as am I) but not at the expense of the people who really need it.
:rotfl: l love this site!! :rotfl:
