*sneaks in quietly and stands at the back* :o

Sorry, I'm always late to the party but to be fair I didn't get back in the country til the 3rd and have been really ill since :( Anyways, I'm going to join you all as I am facing even tougher times than last year and have been wondering what the heck I can do about it. I can't get an extra job as I am in a phased return after a long time off sick, but have been on inflated wages recently and now face a massive plummet in income. Employers haven't raised my hours but have very kindly given me an overpayment which they'd like back - so at the mo I'm in a right mess :o

Hopefully this challenge will help me and my lads get through the year though :T

Not much to report today (again!)

I have done a pureprofile survey for £1 and got £33 in tesco vouchers on the way at the end of the month. (I added my clubcard online and it said that I had all these vouchers that I hadnt used, I think that they are wrong as I have used all the vouchers they sent me, but I will take them anyway!!)

I have also registered for a local employment agency for a part time job to top up my earnings, but not a lot going on there.

I will be doing a car boot on sunday (weather permitting!)

My ebay stuff has no bids and no watchers yet but most of it is new stuff that I bought to resell last year and it hasnt been selling very well at all:(:(

I need to come up with more ideas to get some extra cash as I am falling behind already and its only the 5th!

    Hi

My update for today is I sold another item on ebay for £12 so all in the pot! Yey! I have started to list an item a day to make putting items on ebay more manageable

I asked about if anyone was a teacher as I am and wanted to know if I was alone!

well i've found a job that would make me up to nearly full time ,have asked if its still available if i could get top rate salary that would make my £11,000 really dubious though as this will change childcare and dog walking and housework however will pay off cc quickly arghhhhh why does it always come down to money .if i thought there was a time limit on the post might be more enthusiastic say 3/12 and back to part time .interestingly me going to full time would probably be the easy solution but with oh away a lot i think part time mum works ,was tempted at the end of challenge to take up some extra hours as did this during the summer just to earn holiday spending money kids were away on holiday with mil .
also would have to ask mil to pick kids up 2 extra days a week ,my other venture was to maybe ask a local nurse if her practice would consider me to fill a gap left by a nurse who has retired or do one shift a week nurse bank good thing about that is that oh is home and would have kids .will need to think it through away to update cv .
hi savvy hope you enjoyed your time away jump in there will be something that floats your boat. hope you feel better and cope ok with getting back to work

  • Ive got no idea what my total is,probably less than £20 as i havent really got going yet :/ I waived the sealed pot under OH's nose when he got back from work so he put a bit of change in :rotfl: he came back from work with a corporate voucher to pick a present for 5 years of service,i chose a joseph joseph chopping board worth £65 that will get ebayed. I spent most of the day sourcing goodies for my etsy/folksy/ebay shops and found a niche! woo hoo! got my lotto ticket for tonight as well :D

Cheers for the welcome elly, yes I did thanks but it's a bit of bummer when you remember the big black cloud you have to come back to that's even blacker than you thought when you return :( but hey ho, will hopefully create a tiny bit of silver plated lining for it with this challenge ;) :rotfl:
