What is content creation?
I assume you might be referring to my post.
Basically before websites go live they like to have some content on them so they dont look bare, particualry if its a website based on community rather than just news.
So often webmasters will place ads online where they will pay for for posting on forums, this typically is payment per 100 posts and you are expected to make mulitple accounts and give good quality posts back.
Also some people pay for you to create things for thier blog or new websites etc or even for facebook likes and stuff.
Whole world of opportunity out there and Im only new to it but if you can get well in and a good rep on somewhere like freelancer.com you can make a steady extra few bob.
Search for Digital Point on google too as I dont have the link with me0 -
Morning all and hope you are well! What about Day Two then??
Well its a Sunday and I am back at work on Tuesdays so have a bit to do today so not sure how much I can get done today. I am over the moon with my total so far and will be adding to it today.
The only savings I am actually couting towards my total is my copper jar from November/December last year which will be under a tenner but at least it keeps the ticker rolling over.
Ive started the morning off with my usual bash of three reviews for the dooyoo site and CIAO so am on target with those. Sitll got heeps of stuff tor eview from xmas and films and things so will be keeping going on that for some time yet.
Ill see what else the day brings but first things first.......a home cooked sunday Dinner at my mothers. By for now0 -
I was thinking of making cushion covers to sell , does anyone do this ?
If I list them on ebay would I have to say they are hand made ?
would this put people off ?
I make them without zips (to save money) , they just have a fold in the back but look fab. I used to make jewellery long before it became popular , but now its difficult to sell due to so much competition. I also crochet scarfs to sell but they are not in demand now its nearer the end of winter.
Last night my mother in law gave us some packs of yogurts , so I have added that to the total ,lol.

Morning all!
Sewing machines really do seem to be the in thing this Christmas... I asked Santa for one but didn't get itTBH I would have had one but my Mum has one that has never been used as she's had a stroke and is paralysed now. It seemed a shame to go out and buy a new one with that one gathering dust so OH asked to buy it off her to give me but she said no. I do have a midi one to be getting on with, but it only does straight stitching and only through really thin fabrics. So I am keeping an eye out on Ebay for one to come up locally.
Those looking for cheap fabric, ask at places that make curtains for their offcuts, also ends of rolls at haberdashers are often sold off cheap. Plus I buy garments I like the look of at charity shops and butcher them. It's shameful to admit, I have even bought and butchered new supermarket clothes from the sale, they have been so cheapAvoid Hobbycraft etc if possible, they are soooo dear. Lots of people recommend buying jelly rolls for patchwork and the like, but although I like the variety and the fact that it all co-ordinates nicely, overall I don't think they work out a particularly cheap way of doing things.

I have made them in the past, union jack patchwork used to be a major seller but every man and his dog is making those nowadays - it's hard to make yours stand out as better online but there isn't really much margin to go cheaper, so personally I wouldn't bother with those. Apart from that, generally I found embroidered sold better than patchwork and people were willing to pay more for them tooHope that's a bit of food for thought anyway.

What a great thread.
I'd like to join in please as I'm keen to make a dent in the mortgage as well as being able to go on a nice holiday this year.
We're planning to stop smoking and also to reduce our alcohol intake so that should save us quite a bit every month. I'll be strict with myself and put these savings aside so I can add it to the total. I'm going to try to save some money from my wages every month as well and use this towards my total - I usually just fritter my money away and have little to show for it at the end of the month!
I'll use cashback sites and try surveys for vouchers as well as watching what I buy when I'm in the supermarket. I'll also try to buy presents when the sales are on to save money.
I already put money in a jar but usually just spend this, so I'll endeavour to put all this aside as well.
In fact I'm going to count what's in my jar now to give me a start. (I'll start on the 3rd as I'm Scottish!!):D
Good luck everyone.0 -

'Save Boots advantage points for gift purchases - count cash saving when exchanged
Save Nectar points for use towards Christmas spend - count cash saving when exchanged'
Great idea Boomdocker - certainly will add your ideas. No spend for me today but I'm starting to think about what I have for ebay. Then back to work and will make sure it's all pack lunches for January.
Good luck everyone.0
